  1. I think the closest confirmation is this

You've said that Inquisitors could have children. Would those children have a better chance at being Allomancers compared to if they had the kids before they were Inquisitors?

    Brandon Sanderson

Yes, but there also could be...complications.

  2. In an attempt to jailbreak A-Electrum, I would pair it with F-Nicrosil, F-Tin, or F-Chromium.

F-Nicrosil is just an attempt to build up the Investiture needed to get a proper glimpse of the Spiritual Realm so that I can see far into the future.

As has been mentioned, it's possible to store Allomantic senses in a tinmind, so my hope would be that peering into the Spiritual Realm would qualify as something that tin can store. In that case, that would be another potential way to see farther into the future. Additionally, I think there could be a neat resonance with this combination, and I'd like to explore the possibilities that tin offers by pushing the definition of "sense" to its limit.

A-Electrum and F-Chromium would mostly be for curiosity. Surely two abilities dealing in Fortune will have an interesting interaction and resonance.

Wow. You've really thought this through, haven't you, @Evenstrom?

    All right. Here's my theory:

    Hoid is working for Trell.

    Now, here are my reasons:

Hoid is on Scadrial at the same time as Trell is messing around. This is widely known. We also know that he was nearby when Nazh was trying to get a map. They are looking for something significant to Trell, and probably significant to other parties as well. Perhaps the map shows where to find a god metal, be it atium, lerasium, or harmonium.

We know that Hoid is willing to associate with the more... unpopular forces on a planet, such as the Skaze.

He and Kelsier do not get along. Hoid isn't helping Wax by informing him of Kelsier's recent activities; he is instead revealing Kelsier when he wants to be anonymous. This will somehow help Trell. Also, Wax will probably have a significant role in removing Trell. By always being aware of his activities (Hoid's been near Wax for a while), Hoid can inform Trell of when anything is happening.

He says in WoR that he is willing to watch worlds burn in order to achieve his goals. We still don't know exactly what those goals are, but Trell could, perhaps, grant him power or resources to help him.

I just realized something that makes this theory even more possible (or, perhaps, disproves it, depending on how old "old" is in this quote).

    From the Second Letter:

And do you no longer hide behind the name of your old master?

    Need I say more?

  4. Primary: I have perfect control over my body, both the way it sounds and through a form of telekinesis. This ability even affects parts of my body that are no longer attached to me. This gives me limited shapeshifting abilities, super healing (which makes this a Prime Invincibility), flight, the ability to push my body to superhuman levels (strength, speed, etc), and the ability to, say, grow bone spikes from my body and stab everyone. It's really messed up.

Secondary: I can breathe when I shouldn't be able to, just in case my healing can't cover that.

Weakness: Jump scares. But only if I'm not expecting it.

Name: Flesh and Blood (because my skeleton is busy killing people, get it?)

Evil: I have a few copies of my skeleton lying around, and I tend to have them go on rampages in the more... rebellious parts of my city.

Costume: Whenever I go out, I grow bone armor all over my body, with a sword to go with it.

  5. What if Nightblood doesn't grant Surges, but instead grants other powers, completely unique on Roshar?

And, @marianmi, have you seen this WoB? If I misunderstood what you meant by saying only honor-derived spren grant Surges, sorry.

This may be a spoiler, so here you go.

    Spoiler

It's assumed Nightblood's bond works similarly.

    OUTIS

If an Elantrian bonded to a Seon and traveled to Roshar, would that act as a Nahel bond?

    BRANDON SANDERSON

It would act very very similarly, yes. But it would be like… it wouldn't necesarily do the exact same things. It would be treated the exact same way, but wouldn't grant the same powers.

Well, we were arguing that it makes more sense for Odium to take control of chasmfiends via spren (like he seems to be taking control over parshendi), than to have controlled parshendi taking control of chasmfiends.

And then each chasmfiend would control a horde of chulls, each of which controls a whitespine.

I myself really think that all greatshells will be turned into Voidbringers. Even whitespines, which might turn out to be scarier than chasmfiends. Heck, skyeels might turn evil too.

  7. @Spoolofwhool, I can't think of any reason why you would be wrong, and I think your theory has merit. This could even work with the idea I believe, that both powers must be used at once (at least for Twinborn) in order to activate the effect. If the minor crack actually connects the two major ones, then when Investiture flows through the two major cracks, some will also flow through the minor one.

  8. @Vindicator, I myself think that the perk is activated when both powers are used at once, making Twinborn perks different from most KR perks. After all,

    Spoiler

    Khriss

asks Wax what happens when he uses both powers at once, right? And there's the possibility of Miles "alloying" himself with his gold shadows by tapping health while burning gold (this is said in a thread somewhere).

  9. @Vindicator, have you read the Ars Arcanum of SoS/BoM? Near the end, it says Twinborn get the two powers, and an effect. They also get to specialize, of course, but @Yata is right. Being Twinborn is more than the sum of its parts, I suppose.

Take Feruchemy, for example. The entire magic system is the result of two gods' Investitures mingling. This happens on a far smaller scale for every Twinborn combination. They get a mini-power, or something like that.
