Any rationale for keeping him alive just one round? I say we either kill him now (via murder or lynch) or leave him alive; half measures won't help us right now. I personally think we should let him live, because it's better for us if we know 1/2 of the people trying to manipulate our votes, rather than both being anonymous. It also might force Ryuk to waste a turn killing Joe. If Joe turns out to be Ryuk (which, by the way, I doubt based on the risks he's taken), we still can kill him later, and if he isn't we can disadvantage the player who is.
I suppose we could avoid lynching him until Ryuk does it for us, if that is what you were proposing, although I'm not sure it is what you meant
Except when will Ryuk kill him? That's the real issue. Joe and Ryuk (or if he IS ryuk) can communicate. I'm sure that they are doing this to keep the holder alive and completely screw with the village . I doubt that Ryuk will be killing Joe, at least not anytime soon.

I don't suppose anyone else got a PM from Joe essentially asking if they wanted to be the next holder?
I did as well.
I may troll, but I don't outright Lie. Ok, no, I do outright lie, but only about alignment. I dont lie about about actions. If I'm alive tomorrow, I will tell you Vital Information. And Luna already mentioned what I'm telling you.
All I've talked about are murderers making a kill, or secret roles. Neither of those seem important enough for me to chance that you actually know anything and lt you live one more day.
EDIT: Hael what did I just listen to?

If I'm alive tomorrow, I'll reveal a juicy secret that you guys really will want to know. [sing-Song voice] But only if I'm still alive![/sSv]
I either think he is going to reveal some secret role, or he is just psyching us out. Sorry joe, but I ain't removing my vote.
Are you doing science?
.... What does that mean?

I’ve only voted for one citizen Ryuk.
Haha very funny.
Hael. You quoted my post?

How can we know that the murderers will go through with it? I also have a feeling that if Joe is left alive he is just going to keep voting for random citizens, which is not going to help us at all.

I agree. Knowing the evil team helps us win. However killing the evil team also helps us win. If we allow Joe to live who can confirm he's not Ryuk. We could end the game Day 3. Sure we can always kill Joe later but he could misdirect us into lynching the wrong people(See votes on Luna) and he's always going to be one evil vote that we have to worry about especially if it gets down to the point of just Joe and the inactives if we let him live that long just so "we know who one of the eliminator team is".
I'm trusting Hellscythe on this one. Killing Joe just seems to help the villagers more. That or I think we should get rid of an inactive.

ThatTiny, while those numbers are nice, they'd be a lot more useful with reasoning attached. That way, people you suspect can defend themselves, which just furthers the discussion. As opposed to your numbers, which don't say why you suspect someone, just that you do. And I agree with Sheep on the system not making much sense. What happens if someone's suspicious more than five times? Are they 120% suspicious?
That's what I was wondering as well haha

He couldn't have been converted. Ryuk already had a holder, and they aren't dead. So he can't convert anyone else, yet. He could be a Holder and have been since the start of the game, though. But if that were the case, I think L would have told someone (probably Sheep) who could reveal to the thread, after he scanned as guilty. So barring secret role shenanigans, or an L who's unwilling to say that Joe scanned as Guilty (which seems very unlikely given his willingness to share his own role...), I'd say that Joe's probably not an eliminator.
Ohhhhhh okay that makes sense.
EDIT: In that case, Joe. Hey, Conquestor, I see you lurking.
As one of the people who voted for DC, what are your thoughts.0 -
I also had a PM with Lopen. We joked about the first game I ever played where he lynched me after like the first few tu SR comes from the number of times I thought that person was being suspicious. Because AliasSheep had the highest amount of times I thought they were being suspicious so I made them have 100%. Key: 1 time I saw them being suspicious = 20%. To get SPP I divided the person's SR by the number of times that person posted.
Ahhh. I guess that makes sense? haha

It doesn't really seem like the actions of an eliminator either. Yes, the Companions were annoying, but they werent causing a loss. As his actions have previously shown, he's probably just a villager making a risky choice. Even if he's not a villager, him being Ryuk is highly unlikely.
True. We should also take into account that we have no idea what these "secret roles" are... Also, I'm just worried that because he didn't die, that he could have been given a book from whoever Ryuk is and could be trying to gain info. All I''m saying is that Joe offered himself up to die in case he was claimed. I'm a little skeptical about people giving him roles...

I watched Hellscythe struggle to stretch an ethernet cable across an apartment only to discover that there was no ethernet cable plug so yes I can confirm his predicament.

I also had a PM with Lopen. We joked about the first game I ever played where he lynched me after like the first few turns haha. Lopen told me he "wasn't evil" which I didn't think much of. I just assumed that he was a civilian. He told me that he trusted me, Maill, Joe, Sheep, Aman, "L#1 and L#2" not to be Ryuk.
The only other thing we discussed was Joe's planwhich he was kind of "eh" about. He doubted that even if L scanned Joe that the Police or the murderers would claim to him anyhow.
That's it. By the time I had gotten back on, Lopen was gone.
That being said and out of the way, I am not sure I trust Joe all the same. I find it incredible that you are still alive even after supposedly learning who L is. (also if it really is L like please stop claiming. Please. For the sake of everyone)
Due to Aman's posts and huge contribution, I am inclined to trust you. For now.

Hey I'm on mobile right now and am getting settled into my new apartment but I should be able to get my computer up and running and make a full post by the end of the cycle.
Wow, so much speculation and nothing has even happened yet. I'll have more to say when more things actually happen. Good luck to all.
Wow guys, so talkative today.

As I said before, I don't really like Joe's plan. (sorry Joe
) (I'm not sure if this has been pointed out, but) how do the police officers get a confirmation from L? In this situation, we get two options.
1. L will have to post to the thread claiming that the tribute has been confirmed either good or bad (which is an all around stupid idea and I really hope our L isn't this dumb)
2. Or one of the oh-so-special-and-selfless tributes is either a holder or Ryuk and they just post to the thread that they've been confirmed good and either the police trust them, or L has to contradict what they said.
Either way, I am not really enjoying these outcomes...
1 -
And the pages of RP end....
I think that plan could work... I'm still not sure how well it would work with one person knowing the police officer's roles and L... i can't really see a huge flaw now, but these things always seem work well on paper and less so when actually acted out.
But for now, I would say it's probably the best option we have.

Ok so I definitely swore that I would nver play any elimination games on here ever again, but this one looks super interesting.... (plus I love deathnote haha)
I'll sign up as Tsuki

Okee dokee lokee, since She is suspicious of me and since I should have just gone with my gut reading, I'm voting for Wilson

For one, I still think Luna is suspicious for a bunch of reasons, all of which are quite small on their own, but together make me worry. Here's a list.
- Luna is against day one lynching, but I feel that no lynching, especially on day one, helps the eliminators much more than the town. But, that's quite subjective.
- Luna didn't vote on day one but promised to post more in the future, and then didn't really. Not super suspicious, but it's a good tactic for an eliminator. Immediately posted on day two, but didn't post anything game-relevant from what I recall in that post.
- Araris voted for Luna on day one and then was killed by the Ghostbloods on night one. That leads me to think that either Luna is an eliminator or an eliminator wanted to lightly implicated Luna.
- Orlok jumped on Strawman for voting against Luna, which could have been an eliminator protecting another eliminator, or it could just have been an attempt to vote for an arbitrary noble (Strawman) while having a solid argument for the vote, which is much more likely to succeed than sustaining the lynch of Luna which had no support to it.
- Luna sniped a noble with a very last minute lynch vote at the end of day two. That's always an extremely suspicious act, but it could have been a noble wanting to make sure someone was lynched because no lynches help the eliminators more than the nobles. BUT, if she felt that way, why did she say on day one that she's against day one lynches? Those two beliefs aren't necessarily in opposition to each other, but it still strengthened the suspiciousness of the last minute vote for me.
Alrighty, here we go.
1. I already had a discussion about this with Mailliw and other people I know irl when I first joined this site. I don't like 1st turn lynches because I haven't got a read on anyone for obvious reasons. If nothing has happened, no one has posted, I'd rather just sit back and watch and try to figure out how this particular game works and get a read on how people play. That being said, I don't care if ya'll lynch someone, I can't stop you. I just choose not to make a vote. That way, I can simply focus on how people interact. So when i tell ya'll that I don't like first turn lynches, it is so ya'll don't freak out because I am not voting. That is all.
2. Yeah, It's dead week. I have finals coming up. In my defense, if you look at my activity in past games, I have most DEFINITELY made an improvement.
3. I really have no say on this one. I don't know why they decided to kill him tbh other than the fact that ya'll were suspicious of me and they wanted me out of the game.
4. I didn't ask for him to defend me. Tbh, I think that I could have handled that situation on my own. I really doubt anyone was gonna jump on me because of Strawman's stupid dice. It was a dumb tactic all around, and it wouldn't have gotten far anyways.
5. Alright, so here was my thinking for this particular action. I knew that not having a lynch would have been harmful for the Nobles and it was like a five way tie or something. I had originally wanted to vote for Wilson for gut-feeling suspicion, but I feared that I would be held under a lot more suspicion if Wilson had ended up being a Noble. Since Wilson contributes a lot to the games, I feared that lynching her early if she was a Noble would hurt the Nobles more than it helped. Therefore, I voted for SD because I noticed the little activity. This way, a lynch was taken place, and I had an argument for the reasoning behind the lynch. (So sorry SD. No hard feelings haha) Now, I can be suspicious of Wilson and wait for her to prove herself to be either Noble or Ghostblood and cement my opinion. (geez I feel like I ramble a lot)
This is all I have to say.
Now I am going to go study for an Anthropology Final and write 5 more pages on my essay good day to you all. I'll be back on later.
0 - Luna is against day one lynching, but I feel that no lynching, especially on day one, helps the eliminators much more than the town. But, that's quite subjective.

Woo hoowe finally got a bad guy! Go team. Go team. *dances*

Also why you are voting on all of them, even the ones you disagree with?
I think that she just copied straight from HS list. I don't think she is voting for all of them (though, I do recommend that you change it Nyali...)

The funeral fire was now cold and dead and Luna stood alone, the ashes of her lover held tightly to her chest. All that was left of the fire was a pile of black ashes. The urn felt cold and dead in Luna's arms. A grey sky rumbled overhead.
"I'm very sorry for your loss Luna, I know you cared for Hellscythe as much as I did. I promise you I'll find the person who did this and make them pay." Itachi had left not long after she had accepted to become his heir.
Luna was grateful for Itachi's kindness, along with the kindness of his wife Papaya, but it would not bring her love back to her. Staring up at the sky, Luna spoke, "I swear to the Stormfather and on the ashes of my only love, that I will find and take revenge upon my enemies."
Luna turned, her cloak flowing behind her, and purposefully walked away from funeral site, making no glances back to Hellscythe's funeral.

Sorry guys, I have been busy with finals coming up. Also, this rp was kinda rushed sorry again.
To break the tie, I will vote with Lopen for SilverDragon.

*is bummed because now my character must attend her bf's funeral and should probably declare an heir which i would do through rp at one point in my life except i have no idea how this particular world works because I have never read the books send help*

Wilson I trust that you'll use your vote changing abilities for good.

OKAY GUY, listen up, California can't possibly be so great if all the stormboys come from there.... (yes I caught that)

I'm assuming the vote was changed.... But then again, you know what they say about assuming...

I am enjoying the write up haha.
Also, DeathClutch, I just read your post in the last cycle and I greatly appreciate that you (1.) put me in your write up with HS, (2.) think I am stunning, and (3.) would like to read my poetry. I'm sure you'll get to read it when it is finished.

May I ask why? Strawman is at least active, LUNA barely posts. That being said i'm not really in favor of lynching either of them..
I will be trying much more to post with this game. Promise

Quick Fix Game 15: Death Note
in Sanderson Elimination
Posted
That's a valid reason. At least better than Cloudjumpers lack of reason.
I definitely don't trust the info. Alv if we get rid Joe, will Ryuk have to take an action to pick a holder, and we would have one turn without a deathnote holder kill?
