  1. to be honest, i have read the book 3 times before i heard about the recent revelation about taravangian.

How the hell did you notice this?! i mean, i kinda remember noticing 'on a strong day' at some point,

but i thought it was meant like 'god willing' or such.. salute to you for being ultimately lateral! great job!

  2. I have this little theory, it sort of relates to this. Aona and Skai both influence a guy called Keseg to write a holy book about 'Unity' and such. since keseg is jindoese (like shuden), i assume that this is also where ChayShan comes from.

When Odium came to do his thing, seons and skaze get made (or invented, or something).

Seons go round being devoted and generally focusing on that, thus we get shu-korath (obviously not created by the seons, but influenced by them). the skaze go and dominate some cultures and we end up with shu-dereth. this also links up to the connections with AonDor, SkaDor and Chay shan. im not even sure of the relevance of this now, that was a proper mental hiccup.

  3. this post is for anything info that was gleaned at the recent signing at Forbidden planet in london.

To start with, The question i asked him was, 'is shallash the lady smashing up the art in TwoK'. He was apprehensive to

say it out loud, but he wrote in my copy of Alloy of Law 'shallash appears in TwoK'! i shall get a scan of that once i am able, and ill put it up in here. He also said to me 'you'd be surprised at how many of the heralds appear in the book', so i guess another re-read is in order!

I also asked what project he would like to tackle next. im assuming he meant after stormlight two. He said he really would like to get Elantris 2 out in time for the 10th anniversary addition of elantris, which will have extra art and other bits in it. after that one, he says he would love to do another stand alone, and said The Silence Divine would be his choice.

Also i overheard that a few weeks ago he signed a deal for A mistborn game, in which Sanderson will be writing the dialogue. from what i could overhear, it will be set 200 years after TLR ascension.

also my cousin overheard that one of his short stories has been bought for tv? if anyone could elaborate on this one, that would be helpfull.

These are the main points that i managed to gleam, if anyone else would like to share their juicy knowledge, or correct anything i may have misheard, that would be great

  4. You want questions? :P

Here's an important one which isn't on the list yet: In Alloy times, has Odium ever traveled to Scadrial?

I can give you plenty of questions like that, haha...

I asked Him this question earlier in the year, and i got a rafo card for it. Though maybe a new variant of this question could be, is it possible that the words of founding were altered by another shard? The discrepencies in the trell religion are too juicy to pass over xD

  5. Welcome aboard, James from London!

We have a few other Brits here, too, and

I imagine that you ought to be able to

identify them without too much difficulty.

Hi darnil, thanks for the welcome! yes, we do tend to have a certain... aroma about us xD a quick question: im very new to forums, and would like to know how to do certain things like spoiler hiding and stuff, is there anywhere i can get this info?

  6. Odium could have visited Scadrial and manipulated some people. He's not as trigger-happy as Ruin, also he doesn't wear a t-shirt saying "I kill my fellow Shards and brak their stuff", so how could Sazed know that he's a bad guy?

Saze is pretty new, I think he was more like "Hmmm, that is something strange, I should invastigate it but not intervene too much. I hope they aren't mad at me for getting those Shards after Ati and Vin exploded, I'm not sure if it is a legal thing. Maybe he can teach me how to be a god? I'd better be cautious, anyway...".

And Odium was like "Hmmm... This guy is powerful, but knows nothing. I'd better not make him angry, but he can possibly be manipulated. I should take a look at people here. *starts a crazy cult* Yep, that should evlove nicely... *checks the time* Must go now, I have a Desolation. I'll come back here when he's weakened by results of my evil plot and kill him then.".

I really like this line of though, as it does seem like the way Sazed would react if he came across another shard. Also, we have been shown that shardkeepers can affect the physical realm (leraz tearing up paper, ruin changing writing), so it seems quite possible that odium could affect the trell religion, and change it to his own devices.

2 Things i wonder about though are:

1: is it possible that other poeple were alive on Scadrial outside of the final empire (the nahlezan for instance)? It would help explain the need for misting breeders, as anyone not involved with TLR's ascencion would not have access to allomancy.

2: its a long shot, but i wonder if the 'final metal' and the 'element' that a certain worldhopper has are the same thing. if so, the change in the trell religion does seem to be from an outside source

ok, not sure if this is 100% relevant to this topic, but its definately something to think about

  7. Count me in orome! can't wait! trying to think up something that will get me a RAFO card out of him

Haha, i can give you a few suggestions if you like! at least you got on his website last time! that was a very base way of outshining us serious peoples. clam chowder indeed...
