Happy birthday, @Zathoth! In honor of the occasion, some angsty Iron maiden lyrics:
"There's a time to live, and a time to die when it's time to meet your Maker. There's a time to live, but isn't it strange that as soon as you're born you're dying?"
I should just listen to all of Seventh Son, it has been a while.

It's my birthday, so I figured I would grace you with my presence.
Speaking of anime Boogiepop Phantom is really weird.

I, being me, just say "Merry decaying day".

I have and loved it! City of Blades is also very good (still give the edge to the first one though). I've already preordered the concluding book, City of Miracles, which I think comes out in May.
I will definitely read the sequels, and then hunt down everything else he has written.

Alright, guys. I have an idea.
If I win and go to Texas, I'm going to buy a Mexican poncho and maracas. Why, you may ask?
So that I can run into crowded places and yell "I'M HERE FOR YOUR JOBS" while wearing stereotypical garb and shaking the maracas.
SPOILER: Cog will not, in fact, do this. He doesn't want to be lassoed like a young calf at the rodeo, fun as the yelling might be.
No I think you should do this. It will be terrible for everyone involved, but also hilarious.

Cows, bigger target, easier to hit, hopefully easier to run away from.

I'm honestly probably not going to watch anime until the next season of one punch man comes out. Possibly when I have a very easy and reliable way of watching the d.gray-man reboot. Anime just hasn't been appealing to me for a while.
*Mumbles something about Jojo's Bizarre Adventure*

I'm in the middle of Grave Peril. But my world is more hard-magic. I actually don't remember what Butcher did with vampires; I remember the four kinds of werewolves but I did not like all of them although some were interesting.
Dresden Files isnt rock hard, but it does have rules.
Lets go through how Butcher answered these because Im tired and too lazy to be creative.
Crosses: Faith is a kind of magic that hurts vampires. It needs to be a symbol you have faith in, Harry for example uses his pentangle necklace. I would just need to pick up a guitar or throw a copy of Number of the Beast at them. A rapper could probably use the dollar sign they wear around their neck.
Streaming water screws with magic.
Thresholds are protective fields against magic, Harry can't use magic inside a Home (a place that has been lived in and cared for, public places are public places), magical creatures can't even enter.

Read Dresden Files, Butcher answers all of these questions beautifully... except garlic, for some reason...

I give up.
INTP, by the way, not that it means anything.

@Zathoth Knowing that you wrote it, I'd be shocked if it DIDN'T get weird.

You don't understand, while writing the ending I was seriously questioning my life choices.

I finished the first draft of a thing! It's a little over 2000 words, third person, past tense. It needs an edit, but I am proud of it.
Un, it is pretty much what would have happened if Clive Barker had decided to rewrite Little Red Riding Hood... in fact my pitch to myself was "New Murders in the Rue Morgue+Little Red Riding Hood"... It gets weeeeeeird, but i like it.

...okay, um. So...
My new year resolution for 2017 is... I want to make something. Something I can look at and be proud of and say "Yes, I did that thing."
Writing something would be the obvious thing, but I know I'm...not the greatest in that field, quality or productivity wise. What I'd thought was...
This is silly.
But a thing I've been batting around in my head for a little while now; a screencap comic in the style of Darths and Droids, DM of the Ring or Friendship is Dragons, using RWBY. So...
Four friends roll up characters for an RPG set in a fairytale inspired setting. Shenanigans ensue.
Just...not sure if that's a good idea or not...
Quiver... I was going to give you a motivating speech, but then I realized who I was, so Im going to give you a very pessimistic speech that will somehow be motivating.
You are going to die, so what if it might be a bad idea? Why does it matter? Do it.
Or to paraphrase a fantastic show: "Nobody exists on purpose, nobody belongs anywhere, everyones going to die. Go make a screencap comic."

Chrono Trigger. It has a pretty interesting battle system, is definitely fantasy, but due to the time travel element it plays with a lot of tropes and becomes something new and has some very touching stories.
Honorable mention to Mother 2 and 3. I cried.
Favorite Platformer?

In 2017 I will get Skyverea (My web novel) into a presentable form.
In 2017 the person below will find out they are secretly an alien experiment and go on an awesome space adventure.

Nah Sweetpea hates people and would rather be in her nestbox. She was an angry little fuzz muffin.
It's me in owl form.
2 hours ago, Sunbird said:@Kestrel Is Sweetpea an eastern or a western screech-owl? I forget where you live. Also, she sounds like a riot! Reminds me of a comparison someone made once between cats and owls. They said something along the lines of, "Owls are amazing because they're totally fluffy and adorable but they're also perfect killing machines. I think this is all the proof we need that owls are simply cats in bird form."
One of my cats even looks like an owl sometimes.
And a bear, and oddly enough sometimes a mouse.
I think he has just perfected cute mimicry.

I haven't watched Star Wars since I was a child.
This effects me more than I thought it would.
And I had outlined a really weird horror story, but now I don't feel like writing it.

I'm not sure about crabby, old man, but he is definitely a kind of crab.

Bad dreams that can't be used for inspiration is definitely a pet peeve.
Falling in love with some kind of crustacean and thus having a telepathic link with it was interesting though.
