Wayne and Rock!!! Being taught by Vasher

I was thinking that if a weapon has magical properties (non shardblade) that it would have an investure of sorts. So they would be similar to a shardblade. So I guess I would be nerfing the shardblades a bit. Seems necessary.

I will have to go with Wayne. Like a lot of others have already stated. I will be honest, he is probably one of my favorite characters thus far. He is VERY intelegent. He would just make another great Hoid.

Ok so this is kind of off topic but not at the same time. So I am sure/hope this is wrong but a part of me sees harmony pushing wax past his breaking point and Wax becomes our new bad guy. I don't want that to be true but there is a piece of me that keeps leaning on that.

Thanks for the advice but I will have to say that the only way to make things work is to try it out and fix kinks as they come. Luckily I am doing this game with a bunch of friends so it is just a fun game. But I do like to work out the structures of things before I put them out there for use.

I really want to thank you guys on the help though it really gave me some great ideas. I am not sure about how I feel with the shardblades. I don't want to make them OP but I also don't want to detract from the amazingness of them. I have been working on a breath class (from warbreaker) as well. And the returned. They are coming along nicely but if anyone cares to shout out some ideas feel free thanks again.

So I like the idea on the spren using the sorcerers familiar table. Mostly because the familiar grows more intelligent as the character lvls just as the spren do.

So for the lightweaver I was thinking of it being closer to a rouge. And giving the the ability to disguise self so many times per day. Any thoughts on the soulcasting?

Sorry for all the questions but for the bond? I really want to incorporate that in game. But I know this will prove difficult and possibly annoying for the players. But I also don't know how to do that without it abrupting the progress/leveling of the character. Also trying to use it simular as losing abilities as a paladin when breaking those stages of the bond.

I actually am having them world hopping with someone. But yes I think individually seems the best option. Any ideas on a bases? And what I should do with the spren?

And yes you can make additional anything really. 3.5 in my opinion has the most range in possibilities. I do have allomancy in my game but like I said. I just really want the knights :/

Sorry if there is post in this already, I searched for the topic but couldn't find one. So I am currently DMing a game right now (3.5 edition) and decided to throw in some Sanderson magic into my game. I was trying to come up with how to create some knight radiants but it is proving difficult. I have searched online for some things and didn't find anything note worthy. I was hoping I could get some insight. Thanks for your time and help

Dude, I don't admire Kal because he has powers. I love his character because he would be just the same as he is without them. Because he is a good man despite his past and despite his gifts.

Edit: Yes, I know he would probably have suicided/murdered in the slave wagon, but still. He's the best.

you are absolutely right Kal IS fantastic i was referring to that last part, Kal does great with his ptsd and depression, but Syl really pushes him, helps him, makes him do better even when he doesn't see it.... that is what i meant by Kal being nothing without her.

Rithmatist isn't Cosmere. I do hope that you do start Steelheart soon; it's a quick read, and worth it. Also, while I like Syl, I prefer Kaladin and Dalinar as characters.

first off i have to say i love the aquabats. and secondly sorry if it seems like i was saying rithmatist is part of the cosmere, i knew that it isnt.. thirdly Kaladin would be nothing without Syl. but everyone is entitled to there own opinion. but dont be such a debbie downer man

Anyhow... I don't know if it's clear in the books which is Dalianr's boon and which is his curse, but I was under the impression forgetting his wife was the curse. It's been a while since I read the books though, and I think it's been worded rather... unclearly (Purposefully, of course).

yes syl is my favorite character in the stormlight archive. I have read the mistborn series, warbreaker, elantris, the emperors soul, the rithmatist. Basically all of the cosmere books. I was going to start the steelheart series but i haven't gotten around to it yet.

thanks for all the feed back. Well it could be both. if he didnt want to hurt anymore so the Nightwatcher took his memory of her away. But i guess this theory is just speculation. I was just thinking as far as the little girl and her spren, it was mentioned that beings she went to the Nightwatcher the spren (if i remember corretly) mentioned something about her being more liked because she was touched by the nightwatcher. i could have this all wrong. But I was thinking that Dalinar went there for Renarin and that could have made the two of them more susceptible to bond but like i said clearly just speculation. i dont really have anything to back this up. and i am sure it will get disected and destroyed by you guys but that is the whole point. so i can come up with a better one

I would recommend The Septimus Heap series, 7 books, it is more of an YA read but it is pretty good and i really enjoyed them 

I am new to 17th shard, i have been following you guys for quite some time now though. I just have this one question/theory that i don't know if it has been discussed or it is just know. But anywho,  my theory is on why Dalinar went to the nightmother (i believe that is what she was called sorry if that is wrong) my theory is that he did it to save Renarins life, if you notice he has a very protective air about him when it comes to Ren, and that Ren has had problems. Any way i dont have much to back it up but we can all asume that is why Dalinar cant remember his wife, that much is pretty much a given. but please let me know your thoughts on this and insights. that would be great
