It could also be foreshadowing the possible creation of new Heralds? The others broke their oath, but perhaps a new one can be made with a new set? It was implied in WoK that they used to be something besides Heralds, and, I can't quite remember the quote, but Kelek in the prologue was thinking about how Jezrien still looked like the king that he used to be.
EDIT: Slight word change.

From the Listerner songs, I was under the impression that the Parshndi had spren which would help them achieve their different forms, but the spren wanted the meal of human cognition " we their broth and humans's their meat or something like that" and they betrayed them. Desperate, they turned to Odium and his spren and were put under his control. It also seemed like the voidbringers were the Gods of the Parshendi and that Gavilar wanted to bring them ( or the KR) and, by extension, the voidbringers back. Which is why they felt, with regret, that they had to kill him. To stop their terrible gods from returning

It's also totally ok if you happen to be a Horneater

Indeed.

White Sand is still being sent out to people who ask for it.
How do I ask for it? Can this count as asking for it?!

Brandon mentioned in an interview that we have seen him before. I believe that he is
In WoR after Kaladin comes back from the patrol and meeting the "Horneater Princess" He " did catch Rock shooing away a lanky man in an ardant's robe."
"what was that?" Kaladin asked, catching the Horneater as he passed.
"that one," Rock said "keeps loitering here with the sketchbook. Want to draw bridgemen. Ha! We are famous, you see"And we know from the sketched of bridge four's tatoos that he ( Nazh )
“I had to spend hours watching the bridgemen to sketch their stupid forehead glyphs so you could have them, my friend.”

I've heard Brandon pronounce Jasnah with a /y/ in his reading of the WoR prologue, and in WoR
" “Kaladin?” The voice was Rock’s, with his distinctive Horneater accent. He pronounced the name “kal-ah-deen,” instead of the normal “kal-a-din.” "
so it looks like you say it with a Horneater accent which is totally okay. Brandon is chill.
