Disclaimer: First of all, I don't expect trouble- you guys have always struck me as measured and mature when it comes to debates- but I thought I'd best mention this as a re-enforcement:
This is a sensitive topic, dealing with a real-world issue. As such, personal opinions, views etcetera aside, be respectful, and keep on topic.
(And, as a bit of self-interested motives, if anyone has any information related to the issue of transgender, I would love if you could PM me a link- it's an issue I'm interested in, but am woefully ignorant of)
Now, on to the topic: would it be possible for someone using soul-stamps to change their sex?
Shai is able to change the windows because she says they remember what they used to look like; similarly, Shallan found it difficult to persuade the stick or boat to change because of their cognitive aspects.
Shai's essence marks are described as changing her physical and mental states; Shaizan doesn't know how to create soul stamps, the scholar has information which Shai doesn't, and the beggar form causes Shai to become emaciated and lose her hair.
Would it be possible for Shai to apply an essence mark to turn herself into a man?
On the opposite side of things, suppose there is a man who wants to be a woman and who identifies as a woman. Would that attitude make it easier for their body to be persuaded to change to match her cognitive state? We have examples in Way of Kings of bodies being turned into inanimate substances, but would the precision required to change a person's physical sex be far too complex for a soulcaster or a soulstamp?
I'd say definately. Each person is both male and female up to a certain point in the womb. I think it would be excedingly easy for some one to soul stamp themselves as a different sex. I do not think it would necessarily change their gender. It would be a congenital change and not a genetic change.
This means he or she would still probably identify as a man or woman, or some other LGBT, but simply be in the form of the sex chosen. This would just be a temporary alternative life path for the duration of the stamp.

Just my quick take. The windrunner should take a majority if the inquistor does not have access to feruchemical enhanced speed. They just have to lash various objects in the direction of the inquisitor multiple times and those should pretty much turn them into bloody pulps.
However if they do have access to speed, it is possible the inquisitor could do a speed blitz. The way I read it, there is no upper limit to how fast a feruchemist can draw from a metalmine. It was just proportionate increase depending on how fast they drew it out. Most feruchemist didn't draw excessive amounts out because if they are in extended conflict, they would be powerless. This means the inqusitor could move at lightning speeds for a short amount of time and since they only have one opponent, there would be no need to hold anything back.
Just my take.

I would definately pick a full feruchemist. There are just too many possibilities and very few drawbacks. Have a few metalmines implanted under the skin and I would never be without access to power.
My second choice is twinborn double steel. Just call me the flash that can fly.

I could live with Taravangian's boon/curse as a megalomaniac schemer, but it would make social life really unfun. As a schemer, waking up stupid is like "You have the day off, go watch TV. You can take over the world tomorrow." But socially, he must have no friends or hobbies. I guess as royalty he can pass the time walking around and waving at people...
edit: Actually it's kind of like involuntary Feruchemy.
I actually think he is a sparker and doesn't know how to control it.

He is still a slave of sorts to his conscience.
Or perhaps the marks on his head actually mean something else.
I initially thought that perhaps because they had scarred over before he started using stormlight, that it was too late to heal them. That is until Lopen started to regrow his arm.

Hello all. I just got done with the WOR and I have a few thoughts on what T's boon was. It sorta came to me at the end and I don't think anyone has explored this posibility yet.
Taravangian is a Feruchemist, specifically he is a sparker. He does not know that when he is an idiot that he is inadvertenly storing intellegence in some zinc that he has on his body. Maybe his crown or jewelry has some zinc mixed in. Perhaps when he is normal he has taken off the zinc jewlry and has multiple metal mines lying around filled with intellegence. On the day he was super intellegent, he used up all of his metal mines in a single burst, multiplying his intellegence 100 fold. He probably accidentally put on all of his zinc jewelry at once and accidentally tapped it all.
This is further evidenced by the chart of his intellegence where he was generally equally stupid and equally intellegent. It is a nuetral power.
Then the boon that T asked for was "capacity." Capasity has a couple of meanings. The first is the ability to do something. It also means the amount that can be stored. Capacity is an interesting word choice and is very suggestive of what the boon was.
The curse part of the boon is built in to feruchemy. He has to spend a certain amount of time as an idiot in order to spend an equal amount of time that much smarter.
There is no reason to believe that powers from other worlds in the cosmere cannot be transported and used in Roshar. Indeed, when zseth was presented with Nightblood who could talk and leaked black smoke, it sorta clicked for me. This inicates that breath can be transported to Roshar. If breath can be transported then feruchemical abilities could be used and perhaps bestowed.
I could be wrong, and I have been wrong before. However that is my working theory.

I have read all of Brandon's books and I am dying to read theories on the Stormlight Archive. Also I have a novel theory about Taravangian which I'd like to see if any one agrees with. I'll post that in the Stormlight forum.
I cannot post very often because I am fairly busy guy. I have a daughter withs a nother child on the way. I go to law school and I work full time.
When I do have some down time (not very often), I like to read/listen to good books. I normally have to listen recorded books because the only time I have is during my morning and evening commutes.

I think more powerful in terms that an honorblade bestows extra powers on a normal person while a shardblade does not.
