That's why they got confused with the Honorblades (mutated transmission of the myths/legends).

BONUS THEORY: Cultivation is going to be able to take up the reforged Shard of Honor (once Dalinar, et. al. are done reforging it) and become the second Shardic dyad. She'll be able to take it up because she's Connected to Tanavast by marriage. (Meanwhile, some Physical Realm corresponding event, like the Stormfather and the Nightwatcher marrying, or Kaladin getting married, or whatever, will be the Physical representation of Cultivation's "Second Ascension" (for lack of a better term).)

DOUBLE JACKPOT BONUSFOIL THEORY: Not even a theory, just a question. Why is there no Everstormfather? Could there have been, and that being was divided into the Unmade? Or will there be an Everstormfather? (Why is Voidlight not called "Everstormlight"?!)

I think maybe the high storm predated the stormfather.

Pre-Shattering magic in books?

Brandon Sanderson [PENDING REVIEW]

Let's see. I would count the highstorms as that. Highstorm predates the Shattering. Now, the highstorm has been changed dramatically by certain events, but the highstorm does predate the Shattering.

I personally doubt that. I think the Stormfather predates the shattering, because he is the source of stormlight on Roshar, and the entire ecological system relies on sore  bonds and stormlight.

Where does the Stormlight in highstorms come from? Is there like a "rain cycle", but for the Stormlight?

Brandon Sanderson

The Stormlight in the highstorm is transferred from the Spiritual realm through the Stormfather into the highstorm.

Brandon Sanderson (paraphrased)

There was a point when the Heralds didn't need to draw Stormlight from gems, although the Stormlight-in-gems predates Honor's arrival.

There was a following conversation about this topic, about how a lot of the elements were there before Honor arrived, but he co-opted them. So, Stormlight were there, but there are big differences now.

Footnote: Unspecified question by Pagerunner.

Off the top of my head, because it predates the Everstorm.

I just posted my previous post by accident somehow. Sorry! My reasoning was that before maybe the stormfather was a non sentient environmental process. But he eventually became the cognitive shadow of Honor, and now has even more consciousness because of his bond to Dalinar. I don’t really know though
