What? I thought she just had not tried to breath in Stormlight.

She can only get it from food.

Honestly, I think the fact that she is so brilliant, practical, and logical are some of the best reasons why she should be queen; Adonalsium only knows we could all use way more of those qualities in most of our leaders (yes, you all know who I’m talking about). And the fact that she’s so powerful is another thing in her favour, as I think even Szeth would have had a hard time assassinating her.

Oh I know that she is the best choice for queen, dicpite being the second choice to Adolin, which is kind of an insult to Jasnah in a way.

What makes all of you think that Jasnah would necessarily continue the traditions of a monarchy? She might very well push Alethkar towards a more advanced form of society, up to and including some form of democracy.

I love this idea! move the alliance forward in a cool new way.

I do think she is the best suited to rule the remnants of Alethkar when the ardentia revolts and the second Hierocracy begins

If it had to be a Kholin she was the best choice. Being King didn't stop Elhokar from going on adventures (maybe it should have :( ). She's like a theoretical Monarch now anyways since Alethkar is occupied, she's Queen in exile. She can order around the other high princes and Alethi in Urithiru (except Dalinar), but she doesn't really have a country to rule.

I think Jasnah is perfect as the Monarch (Regent?) of Alethkar.

She isn’t cold or dispassionate, but she has an impressive level of mastery over her emotions. She considers her decisions through a heavy filter of logic. No Monarch rules Sovereign, so she will have advisors to temper whatever ‘Cold’ logic she applies to her decisions.

Whether or not she is happy about the appointment is another question entirely. I have trouble picturing her accepting the position, simply because she has her own priorities and I feel like she would place the value of her own work above that of Ruling.

Historically, if not outright stated at least implied, is that Urithiru was the Center of Alethela. Suggesting that the Monarchy is a relatively new structure. I contend that she will use that argument against her appointment as Queen.

She may accept Regency, in lieu of Gavinor’s age of majority, but I don’t think she will accept Queenship.

She has already accepted it.

Dalinar already decided this is not the time for a regency so that isn't an option. She may abdicate and pass the throne back to Gavinor (I believe she will) but until then she will be queen, not regent.
