Uli Da Posted December 30, 2017 Posted December 30, 2017 First post and complete tinfoil, stolen in part from a number of other threads apologies for lack of credit (specifically a number of posters from Voidlight is not Odium's Investiture and The third Bondsmith and Uritheru threads) Where and how strongly are the unmade and the passions linked to Odium in the text? The theory runs there was a 3rd god (violet for the first and strongest moon) (Cultivation being the clever green moon and Honour the 2nd Blue moon) and the 'voidbinding' in OB is actually odium's minions' corrupted use of the investiture associated with this third god. Whether it was ambition (as suggested) or the other shard WOB says Odium has killed that we don't know about (potentially misremembering) it could explain: 3 godspren (among other mystic 3s incongruant with Odium) without making Odium attached to KR directly The passions being remnants of a separate diety to odium worship (I really don't buy the theory Odium is just passions shaped by Rayse' personality to become hatred or perceived that way) The unmade and 'void spren' in glys' case not really fitting the whole hate theme very specifically and being able to choose not to serve him. Why the sibling is 'slumbering'. Not a very fleshed out idea but would appreciate thoughts both on the theory and correct form when posting.
manukos he/him Posted December 30, 2017 Posted December 30, 2017 well the unmade are defianately of Odium (nine check, represent passions check they follow him check) as for the Passions though not confirmed in text it almost definately is the religion the humans belived in before they came to roshar and started warshiping honor as to your theory , first of all ambition was killed bshortly after the shattering , also from what we know she was probably on Threnody secondly , every shard can invest in a planet , even after others have settled there , so even if theoreticaly there could be an other , it isn't necesary for Odium's minions also yes some unmade and corrupted spren are defiantely not acting odiusly , but that is because odium is not only about hatred but about passion , and giving into it , (think moash or dalinar near the end). plus we know that an unmade wants to rebel against odium the sibling is also likely a combination of Honor and Cultivation , (as much i as i'd like it to be one of the unmade ) also i did find this WOBhttps://wob.coppermind.net/events/247-ancient-17s-qa/#e5523
