marianmi Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 In case anyone missed it in the first book, int he interlude Grump, Blunt, and Thinker are looking for Hoid. They describe him as having an arrow like face and white hair--but he sometimes dyes it. Hoid is LUMU'ANAKI. LUMU'ANAKI came out from beneath the horneater lakes, a place where you commune with Gods. LUMU'ANAKI has an angular face, and white hair. LUMU'ANAKI made fun of Rock's beard. LUMU'ANAKI is the god of Travel and Mischief Looks to me Hoid came from Sel. The Elantris AonDor pool seems to be connected to the Horneaters peaks through Shadesmar. Bathing there allow the horneaters to gain some cognitive abilities to see spren. It's interesting that Rock says that LUMU'ANAKI is forbidden by other Gods to hurt men. I will make this post a new thread.
