Tenris Posted December 19, 2017 Posted December 19, 2017 I'm trying to avoid spoilers, though this notion has been rattling around in my brain since certain bits of information came out in OB. We all know 10 is the magic number on Roshar, and after a certain discovery in Urithiru it becomes apparent that each order of radiant can be represented by a particular coinciding color of gem. I got bored at work and tried to assign a gem type/color for each order. Some are simple, obviously blue sapphires are the color of Windrunners, armor and all. Certain OB chapter epigraphs provide additional concrete matches. This, along with a little detective reading on my part, yielded the following badly written chart. I based initial color designations on real world descriptions of gems, so each gem's "color" could be slightly off, but I think I managed to properly connect each order to at least it's correct gem analog. Lines with checks are confirmed colors based on book evidence, the rest is guesswork based on process of elimination and the large image of all the glyphs for orders and surges believing the colors used their are probably indicative of order color. Hopefully this isn't something that's already been discussed to death, and I look forward to additional input on my late night ravings.
