Ammanas Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 I was just thinking about how 2016 has been a great year for Sanderson fans and I don't think he will ever be able to match 5 books published in a year. 1. Bands of Morning 2. Calamity 3. Alcatraz 5 4. White Sand 5. Arcanum Unbounded Most fans of authors are lucky to get one book a year Maybe in wordcount 2017 could be a big year. Its my understanding SA 3 will be the longest one yet.
asterion137 he/him Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 (edited) Well in terms of number of books I think he might never match it especially if secret history counts as a book. In word count he will probably end up having a bigger year than this when mistborn and stormlight books are released in the same year (It's bound to happen sometime) Edited November 8, 2016 by asterion137
Pagerunner he/him Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 Well, that is two YA books, one graphic novel adaptation, and a book with only two new novellas. So, the actual word count isn't that much. Compare that to the one-year period in late 2009 to early 2010; Brandon published a Wheel of Time novel and the Way of Kings. Even with the work that Robert Jordan had done, I find that to be a much more impressive feat.
