Chaos he/him Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 Hey guys, I wanted to let you know of a slight change I just made. I have altered the amount of posts that is required to have the "Hot" icon on it in the forum view. Looking at the Words of Radiance board, the previous amount required to make a "hot" topic was 15 posts. That seems dumb, so I've increased it to 40--which is two pages of posts--and things look quite a bit better to me. Do you think I should increase that more, or is this fine? 1
Metacognition he/him Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 I just did a quick look around the forum and I think that the new set up is good for now. A "hot" topic should be one that people are discussing and debating. From the looks of things, if a topic already has a heavily debated or discussed page, people are directed there fairly quickly, so most previously espoused theories wind up on those pages already. Personally, I think this will make it easier to consolidate those theories and help us really get to the heart of them! In other words, I approve this move 100%, even if my approval means less than nothing.

Aether he/him Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 Would it be possible to make it time limited? Even if the topic has 15 pages, if it hasn't been used for five months, I'm not sure it would still deserve the "hot" tag.
