Which would mean that Dalinar could still die, but what I see happening, as Renarin is already Radiant Material, as is Dailinar, is Dalinar vacating the office for Adolin, to give Adolin a more important role in the books, and Dalinar can now go about Radianting. Or something like that. I just feel like the Kholins are turning into the Radiant Highprince super family, which I see as odd. It might have something to do with the WoK (actual book), but I feel like Adolin does not need to become a Knight Radiant. Indeed, Adolin can be awesome and heroic without Surgebinding and spren. Excellent theory! Edited September 2, 2016 by bleeder
Rasarr she/her Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 Hm, while I'd agree with @bleeder's sentiment, it would be quite cool to see, for example, Adolin bringing his Blade back to life... ah, well. We'll see. I admit I'm not sold on the idea that "tower, crown and the spear" mean a Highprince of War. A spear doesn't seem to me like the symbol of a Highprince. A spear is a lowborn weapon, a Darkeyes weapon. A Lighteyed weapon is a bow, or a hammer or, above all, a sword. Why would a spear be symbol for a position that can, by its definition, be only given to an extremely high-tier Lighteyes?

Just because Adolin's shardblade is the one that hints at this, it does not mean he gets to Radiant. Every Kholin and there cousin (Or wife... Or bodyguard) is a Radiant ATP. Except Adolin, and maybe Elhokar, but he's likely a Radiant too. Thus the cousin thing.

I am aware of this, it's just... it's very likely we'll get a Shardblade coming back to life, and there's been some groundwork laid down with Adolin. We know his Plate and Blade are of matching order, his Blade is Edgedancer (AKA healing powers), and he talks to it. While I agree that it's bizarre that so many Kholins are radiants, at this point, if it was anybody else who'd awaken their Shardblade, it would be pretty disappointing.

Adolin's Plate has been assumed to be a Dustbringer because it's "look alike" glowed red in one of Dalinar's visions. Have we gotten additional information I may have missed?

I remembered the piece about moving effortlessly through water and forgot about the red, so I assumed Edgedancer.
marianmi Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 My theory on that rattle: "He must pick it up, the fallen title" = KR "the tower" = Dalinar "the crown" = Elhokar "the spear" = Kaladin Until now, the tower and the spear picked up the title. Still waiting for Elhokar.
