Sunbird she/her Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 I'm a huge fan of Matthew Bellamy. He writes most of Muse's songs, and he's their lead singer, and the combination is FABULOUS.
ThirdGen Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 Regina Spektor writes in a variety of voices, playing a new character with each song. The result is often really interesting.
Orlion Blight he/him Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 Roger Waters from Pink Floyd will always hold a place in my personal list. Steve Harris from Iron Maiden is pretty good too! And I would be remiss if I left off David Bowie. 1
Zathoth Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 (edited) Orlion took three of mine already... Tony Iommi of Black Sabbath, Ritchie Blackmore of Deep Purple (He wrote the most famous riff ever, and the best song ever (Stargazer) Also I like nested parenthesis), ... whoever does the song writing in Judas Priest, Denis "Piggy" D'Amour of Voivod, Lennon-McCartney, you know, The Beatles. For slightly more modern song writers there is Nico Wenner of Oxbow and for a lot more modern there Rosalie Cunningham of Purson... EDIT: I almost forgot Mirai Kawashima of Sigh.
