Tellingdwar he/him Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 Before anyone gets too excited: THIS DOES NOT MEAN THE GAME IS MOVING FORWARD. The original post even says it will probably never happen at this point. I was looking at the latest White Sand preview over at io9 yesterday when I noticed in the comments section someone referencing some environments he'd made for a Mistborn video game. He posted a link to a blog post with some intriguing screenshots of a noble's ballroom and a set of backalley slums. The Kredik Shaw symbol is visible in the final image. Maybe a little light on the ash, but otherwise we'll done. The Noble's Ballroom is pretty much spot on what I'd had in my head for House Venture's Ballroom. What do you guys think? 2
Your3rdShadow he/him Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 There's actually no ash in there that I can see, but otherwise I agree, spot on.
Young Bard he/him Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 (edited) Well, Ash is a dynamic object (it's expected to move), and as such, they're usually added last, after all the stable (non-movable) objects. So, as a work in progress, it looks awesome. Are you sure it's not just a fan produced work / a different non-Birthright game, though? Edited March 20, 2016 by The Young Bard 1
Chaos he/him Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 I saw this and actually contacted this artist directly if he had any other comments he would like to make about Birthright.
Bugsy he/him Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 I think this looks extremely well done, however I pictured the alcoves as more recessed as well as staggered in height. I also imagined small stained glass windows as being staggered around the perimeter of the ballroom to allow in the most limelight, rather than large ones at the center
