Although I am a diehard fan of DC most of the time... Marvel has severely impressed me with their TV shows. Even though Agents of SHIELD had a slow beginning, I am now hooked and anxiously awaiting Season 3! With Daredevil, on the other hand, I was hooked from the freaking intro!! Can't wait until the next season!

So, I was just catching up on the Brandon Foreshadowing thread, and it put me in mind of the Flash.

 

Flash S2 spoilers (ish) ahead. Read on at your own peril.

 

Since the season has ended, I've been binge watching them from the beginning, to pick up on the little details I missed the first time around, and I have to admit, I'm impressed with the amount of foreshadowing they've got in the episodes. Even in one of the very first episodes, when Caitlyn is talking about Ronnie, "He's always saying we are like fire and ice." Ironic, since he is Firestorm, and the final episode of season one saw Caitlyn's future as Killer Frost. Also, with this in mind, some of her scenes have been brilliant. Several of the ones where she is berating Barry or someone for something, and she comes across as being so cold.

 

Then there was an episode with the Pied Piper, when they are just figuring out what happened to Ronnie, where he makes a comment about Caitlyn not liking emotions, and keeping things cold.

 

Also, in either that same episode, or possibly the one before or after it, when Cisco is outside with the Pied Piper, looking at Martin Stein's bomb shadow, the Pied Piper tries to escape, and Cisco uses some sound device to stop him, one of Cisco's comments is "I know vibrations."

 

As revealed by the Reverse Flash in the final episode of the season, Cisco is destined to become Vibe.

 

So, some nice future shadows there, well played to the writers.

Growing up I always felt like Marvel had the best heroes and DC had the best villains, and this is more-or-less how I still feel. There are exceptions, of course. I love Batman from DC, and I love Magneto from Marvel.

 

As far as cinematic media go, I really enjoyed Chris Nolan's take on Batman, and I've generally enjoyed the MCU so far. I think the best part of it has been the Daredevil series on Netflix.

I like Marvel. I also highly respect DC, but I am a big fan of Image and Dark Horse.
