Shattered he/him Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 (edited) I have a problem. Any time I want to change my profile photo from the default image, I get a message that the dimensions are incorrect. At first, I just assumed that it was true, and looked for more suitable images. I researched images that were the accepted dimensions for the profile photo, but was met with the same rejection. It's gotten very frustrating. I have only been using image URLs, and not saving them, but I don't think that makes a difference. Does anyone have any advice? Edited May 25, 2015 by Shattered Logic
Chaos he/him Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 Try a 100x100 image? Does that not work? I'm not quite sure why this would be.
ccstat he/him Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 (edited) I have that problem if the URL I am using is one to (for example) Google Drive, where the link is simply a string of characters and does not contain an explicit image file extension like .jpg or .gif at the end. Finding a way to get a direct url to the image solves it for me. The problem is that the "sharing link" provided is actually to the dynamic image viewer that Google etc. use, not to the image itself. After you share the image, right click on it (or ctl+click for Mac) and select "copy Image URL" for the link to use, or select "open image in new tab/window" then copy the URL from the address bar.
