Fineline she/her Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 Hello everyone! My name is Moira, and I started reading Sanderson around the beginning of 2012, starting with Elantris....which I ended up not finishing for one reason or another. Then I discovered Mistborn around November, which I devoured at an alarming rate. Mistborn, that is, not November. I was so impressed with Sanderson’s characters, world-building, and “magic” system, and I figured that there had to be other people out there who also thought it was awesome. So after a little searching I came across Sanderson’s site and his amazing Worldbuilding lecture, then the Mistborn RPG (which looks brilliant and overwhelmingly organized) and then I found myself here. Right now I’m working my way through The Well of Ascension, and the only other Sanderson book I have read is Legion, so I feel woefully newbish. Does anyone still use the word “newb”? Cue internet stage fright. . . Anyhow, that is the long and short of it. But before I wear out the welcome mat I’d like to make a general announcement: if you are going to sell my soul for a bagel, please hold out for a New York bagel. There should be no excuse for shoddy dough.
Vindicator Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 Hello! Glad to have you around. And when you're done with Mistborn, seek out the Way of Kings. Far more epic, IMO.
Fineline she/her Posted January 23, 2013 Author Posted January 23, 2013 Thanks, Vindicator! And will do. I'm eager to read all of Sanderson's work.
