TheToday He/him Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago (edited) Okay, hear me out. I know that people from Roshar (more specifically the Alezi) are supposed to have some sort of... Earth Asian features? But when I read a book and can't stop imagining them with the faces of actors and actresses I know that kind of resemblance the descriptions of said characters. So pardon me if I don't go all the Asian way with them! That said, I have a pretty clear image of those faces in my head regarding some of the main characters of Roshar I know so far (and I say so far because I've only read up to half-ish of Oathbringer by the time I'm posting this). So I'd like to share with you how I imagine those Roshar characters- at least some of the most important or relevant ones. Without further ado... Let's begin then! Lewis Tan as Kaladin (it's funny because I've met him as the latest bad guy of Cobra Kai, but there's something in his face that gives the Kaladin vibes, dunno why) Alexander Ludwig as Adolin Kholin (when he was younger, that is, maybe by his early Bjorn seasons in Vikings) Sadie Sink as Shallan (definitely a bit older than how she looks in Stranger Things though, but she does the job) Josh Brolin as Dalinar Kholin (tell me you don't feel this. C'mon, tell me) Anya Taylor-Joy as Syl (I can definitely see her in blue flying and laughing around Kaladin) Golshifteh Farahani as Jasnah Kholin (try to pronounce her name three times in a row. Faster now!) Shohreh Aghdashloo as Navani Kholin (I can definitely see Josh Brolin falling deeply in love with her) Asa Butterfield as Renarin Kholin (he does have the vibes. And the glasses!) Jason Isaacs as Torol Sadeas (that look is already conspiring agains Dalinar) Richard Armitage as Meridas Amaram (c'mon, tell me that man wouldn't betray anybody for a greater good) Ben Kingsley as Taravangian (find me someone who could play a seemengly harmless old king better than him) Mackenyu as Szeth (just shave his head and make him wear white, who knows) Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson as Rock (I dare you not to eat his stew) Stephen Lang as Teft (he deserves a nice mentor-guy break after his long Avatar evil guy journey, does he not?) Michael Peña as The Lopen (tell me you don't picture it after his Ant-man monologues) Dansom Idris as Sigzil (I can already see him measuring everything, can you not?) Danai Gurira as Eshonai (I mean, a lot of make up and some CGI may be needed, but she does the job) Nick Frost as Sebarial (if someone can play the only high prince who looks like he doesn't care a lot, it's him) Charles Melton as Moash (his look speaks for himself, he's a Moash all around, don't let him fool you) Sam Claflin as Elokhar Kholin (he tries so hard, who does he remind me of?) Tom Hiddleston as Hoid (he doesn't even need introductions) Karl Urban as Zahel (I mean... Oi, Adolin, daddy's home!) Oded Fehr as Gavilar Kholin (I mean... Why not?) Alexander Siggid as Mraiz (that actor always looks like he's involved in every conspiracy there is, does he not?) I may be forgetting about more characters here and there, but this does the job, for now. What do you think? Which actors or actresses would be your choices for the Roshar characters?
