So I had this idea a while back for an FFRPG and I thought what better place than a place filled with a bunch of readers, anyways,

This RPG takes place in a galaxy far far away, this galaxy is called Xylara. Xylara is ruled by some idiot, he calls himself the emperor, (cough cough, spoilers, cough cough) you may be a criminal, you may be a law abiding citizen, you may be a bounty hunter, any thing you can think of write it down and we will see where it goes.

 

Magic

In order to perform magic, you must trap someone in your mind, this allows the person you trapped to do whatever they want with you as a conduit, but it gets kinda complicated with two minds in one body.

 

You will be expected to make some effort to interact with other characters, but you will not be forced to.

What’s the magic system like? Also is it “legal” under the emperor?

I’m seeing this is similar in some ways to Star Wars, and I wondered where being a Jedi is for lack of better word “illegal” whether that parallel remained

The magic system is in fact not legal, and involves trapping someone's consciousness inside your's, this allows them to do basically anything, but you have no control over what they do, also you can talk to them Yay. Also the energy used to do magic comes from your body not some outside reserve.

Again referring to Star Wars, depending on the era you’re dealing with the Clone Wars which have their stuff, the 20 years between prequels and ogs have their conflicts, same with pgs and sequels. What are major events going on that characters would be aware/cautious of?

There is a big uprising in some of the upper quadrants of the galaxy, and a Strange outbreak of an unidentified disease in the lower quadrants.

Experience: Been a widely known bounty hunter/smuggler/general-shady-stuff-person for a few years. Good with all of it

Gear: Above average weaponry and transport, but not exceptional

Looks: He looks around 17, in height, but is definitely not that young.

Experience: A thief. He steals stuff. Cause why not. He works as a notorious criminal going heists just cause, sometimes alone, but he prefers going with a crew.

Abilities: He tells everyone he is a god, but no one believes him. No one has seen him use god-like abilities.

Gear: His pockets hold just about every single item one can think of.

Extra Info: When confronted with people asking why no one has seen him use his god-abilities, he said it would be less fun. They ignore him.

Name: The One Who Stalks The Dark - Kalab Jethuar 

Looks: Wears a hood with a mask and very dark clothes when doing his job. Outside of that, he usually wears lightly colored clothing, he has blue eyes that turn black in the night, as well as his hair(can I actually have that, please). And he is very tall and well-toned

Experience: Very skilled at using the magic 

Abilities: Magic

Gear: Poisoned daggers, a sword, and other assassins' gear.

Extra Info: They are a criminal and an assassin by profession, one of the best who has ever lived.

to do magic you have to somehow trap someone else's consciousness in your's, but you can't use magic, the consciousness that is trapped in your head can, basically meaning in order to perform magic you have to convince someone you trapped in your head to do it, also the energy used to do magic doesn't come from an external source, it draws on the energy from your body.

So how do you do it in the first place, and what are the mechanics of trapping somebody's consciousness

In order to trap someone in your head you need to somehow establish a psychic connection and then you have to kill the body of the person you want to trap in your head.
