Verdance he/him Posted May 7 Posted May 7 (edited) In a world very much like your own, people live normal lives. They work office jobs, rent apartments, read web novels. But the world refuses to stay the same for much longer. Far beyond the future of ORV’s timeline, in the 202,675th regression turn, the Regressor stigma has passed from Yoo Joonghyuk to countless new regressors. Some noble regressors have pursued peace for the Star Stream, others used their powers to relive slaughter and madness. Suddenly, new existences have appeared in this regression turn. Unaware that they are about to become incarnations, the toys of the Dokkaebi and victims of the scenario, these existences start by making one choice: boarding the subway. —//—//———//——————————————//———//—//— Welcome to Omniscient Sharder’s Viewpoint, an ORV RP thread here on the 17th Shard! This is a story-based combat RP, meaning you’ll be thrown into a scenario by our GMs, the dokkaebi @CoderDrag0n8 and @Verdance , and will have to use skills, items, and most of all, teamwork, to survive. Creativity, coordination, and storytelling are rewarded here more than numbers (though we will take stats and skill levels into consideration). If you wish to join, describe for us a character, discuss a few skills, attributes or items, and provide any notes or other information you might want us to know about. Your character should be oblivious as to the mechanics of the Star Stream. Sponsor Selection will occur at the end of Scenario One. We’ll set a start date when we have 3-4 players. [edit]: We have three players, and possibly a fourth, so signups close June 1st, 2026 at 12PM EST. Scenario One will be posted at 9PM EST, as long as no schedule conflicts arise. Needless to say, this thread will have major spoilers for the web novel Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint. For the first scenario, read up until the start of scenario two, if you haven’t already. [Constellation, ‘Flower Which Blooms In October’ wishes you luck!] —//—//———//——————————————//———//—//— Spoiler @Ink and Embers as Tam Michaels, a gap year student on a trip to Seoul with their youth group. Passionate about foreign or dead languages. @Through The Living Grub as Jag-eun Gwisin, a former gamer, boxer, and aspiring swordmaster. @Through the Living Shadow as Kang Nalgi, an unemployed, previously injured bodyguard. Not easily trusting and a deadly shot. (player list) Edited May 12 by Verdance 3
Stardust She/Her Posted May 7 Posted May 7 I would like to play, though I can't right now because of school. So depending on the start date, I may be able to play. If I can, I will let you know a character and all the skills and whatnot. 1

Xe is very passionate about learning languages, including dead ones, so some sort of attribute related to that? Uhhh I will make a more detailed explanation of xir at some point, but this sounds really cool!!! 1

You have to roleplay as someone who doesn't understand how it works. You will not canonically have knowledge of the first scenario.

We can veto stuff if necessary, but they get to pick their own skills now, Sponsor Selection and constellation stigmas will be up to us, basically

GG0z He/Him Posted May 7 Posted May 7 I would like to play, but I couldn’t write something interesting to save my life, so I think I will just sit back and watch this one play out
Through the Living Wrath he/him Posted May 7 Posted May 7 (edited) @Verdance and @CoderDrag0n8 hmmm What is the extent of this picking skills? Are the expected Constellations present? Are new ones present? Do I need to reread ORV? also I’ll get to SKRP I promise Edited May 7 by Through the Living Sherma

Also, have you read ORV? It is the base/Prerequisite for this RP, and don't seem to have you on my list. 1 hour ago, Through the Living Sherma said: @Verdance and @CoderDrag0n8 hmmm What is the extent of this picking skills? Verdance he/him Posted May 10 Author Posted May 10 (edited) 51 minutes ago, Through The Living Ketek said: Can I join as a Constellation? I’m not completely opposed to the idea. I think two GMs is enough, so you wouldn’t be a third. My first idea of how to implement this would be less of a major player like the incarnations, and more of a watcher who might interact with the incarnations through indirect messages and sponsorship. However, you would have to PM us before posting in-thread, we wouldn’t be able to allow you to directly interfere in a scenario until other incarnations either become constellations or reach very late scenarios, and you would probably have more fun as an incarnation. Again, this is my first idea and Coder would probably have thoughts about it, so PM the both of us and we can discuss. Edited May 10 by Verdance
Verdance he/him Posted May 10 Author Posted May 10 We’ve decided that being a constellation is a bad idea

I mean you can pull a Dokja but for the sake of the game, if you try, we will go through all of our power to try and kill your character before you can become one. Let the best Dokja cosplayer win. I would not bet on ORV knowledge helping you, either.
