The alien turned, and they accelerated quickly through the streets. A great density of official vehicles occupied traffic, and the alien was forced to pull over before long.

A rough voice spoke in a language she did not recognize, and the alien responded in the same voice. Eventually, though, the other alien departed, and they accelerated again.

The vehicle stopped after some time. “We’re here.”

“Unfortunately not. They have been slotted for individual trials.”

Unbeknownst to the AI, though, the GM had a plot that would unify the character plots.

“These are the vehicles of peace across the galaxy, boasting three millennia without war.”

She swallowed and crawled out. “Where’s.. ‘here’?"

Dude someone (a guy) in my high school band section ragebaited an ai that was trying to get him to click an OF link. He kept changing the subject and finally just said “no” and brought the average response time from a matter of seconds to minutes

"What trait have I been slotted for?"

“Trial F4BD. In your reckoning, this is trial 62653.”

The alien hesitated. “I guess… you could say it’s an area of rebel operations. That’s a bit more formal than the reality, though…”

They led her through a door, and they came to what seemed a shelter. Many other human occupants were present.

“Speak to another to find bedding… we’ll get a more permanent solution soon.”

”To the human perspective.”

She was unable to speak in her shock and confusion but nodded.

“It is the 62653rd trial to be conducted.”

He sighed. "What will it be measuring?"

”Allocation of funds.”

The human smiled, looking around. “I’m glad you were able to get out. Listen, the state of our shelter is pretty dismal right now. I don’t know if I can find a place for you sleep, the resisting efforts our… allies… are low on money, since it’s tracked so well.”

An argument to the side started to get louder.

He does.

An armored, humanoid figure stepped in. Broken English sounded from the guard. “I’m to take you to the hear.”

The person nodded, but the argument broke into a fight. She stepped over and attempted to mediate, but it was of no avail.

The fight got worse, and most people simply watched.

She followed most people’s lead.

The guard nods back awkwardly, then led him to a massive courtroom—or that’s what it seemed to be.

He was seated in a chair at the front of the room, facing the rest of the occupants.

”Article 5e requires you be present for our proceedings.”

A judge—obviously not human—stated this as he entered the room.

The fight got bloody, and it ended with one of the fighters falling. The other one kicked her for a while, but eventually lost interest.

The human that you had talked to crouched down, checking her pulse and shaking her head numbly. “I guess I’ve got a bed open after all.”

"Why is it a state secret?"

“Because revealing these secrets will result in a disproportionately high probability that whichever next solar system the Ephrussians bring peace to will have access to warmongering technology the Ephrussians cannot counter.”

She winced. “How often does that…?"
