Question

Posted (edited)

Alright, tell me if I put this in the wrong forum spot, but since there's just one answer I think here is good. Here's the quote I'm using:

"Sixteen people, together, killed Adonalsium, ripping it apart and dividing its essence between them, becoming the first who Ascended. [They were] a diverse group, with equally diverse motives. Some wished for the power; others saw killing Adonalsium as the only good option left to them. Together they murdered a deity, and became divine themselves."

It should be in Mistborn Secret History part three, chapter two. And it's Khriss talking if that helps you find it easier.

So my English teacher is letting me write my essay on the Cosmere and I got this quote from the coppermind but it just says what chapter it's from and I don't have the Secret History that's on it's own, just the one in Arcanum Unbounded. I could  just use that page but I'd rather get the page number from the book alone if any of you have it.

Thanks!

Page 266 split into 2 sections. The direct quote:

Quote

"Anyway, there was a god. Adonalsium. I don't know if it was a force or a being, though I suspect the latter. Sixteen people, together, killed Adonalsium, ripping it apart and dividing its essence between them, becoming the first who Ascended."

"Who were they?" Kelsier said, trying to make sense of this.

"A diverse group," she said. "With equally diverse motives. Some wished for the power; others saw killing Adonalsium as the only good option left to them. Together they murdered a deity, and became divine themselves." She smiled in a kindly way, as if to prepare him for what came next. "Two of those created this planet, Survivor, including the people on it."

Disclaimer: this is from my arcanum unbounded book, so the page number might not be perfectly exact.

Ya so I have the Arcanum Unbounded version too, I was just wondering what page it would be in the book that contains nothing except Secret History. It's not necessary cause I can just use 266 and quote Arcanum but I figured I might as well ask.

If you use MLA format, you can either have only the arcanum in the works cited, and if you have other brandon books there (which I would assume the cosmere essay would have) you should probably be able to specify which book it came from. Like (Brandon, Arcanum Unbounded, 266)

If that helps
