The main company behind this is Qu-Bitween (who has patent rights) but computers are very very fast. The only limiting factor on their speed is the extensive security needed to stop attacks using quantum computing. Fusion Reactors: Finally got those working. Experimental Teleportation: This is not available to the general public, and not yet perfected. But it is known. Space Travel: There are colonies across the solid planets, but the actual travel is pretty much the same as what we have irl, with just a bit more. More efficient farming, soil remediation, etc have made colonies possible (as well as advanced heat shields) AI: I mean we’re pretty much already there irl, but yeah. Paired with quantum computing. “The STAP-L”: This is a commodity for high society (a staple for vacations), which plans recreational activities/tourism/itinerary based on weather prediction, crowd prediction, etc. Strict government regulations have been placed on the company in order to limit what it can do and access. The General world order was preserved up until colonization. At this point, Mars was colonized by America, Venus and Mercury were colonized by China. An artificial “planet” equivalent to the ISS was created, diameter equivalent to the height of the Empire State n stuf. A new government/coalition was formed, the AERO, which includes most major powers of the Earth and governs the artificial body, named Teleos. The Mars settlement has become a sovereign nation, named Olympus. They are not included in AERO, but maintain healthy relations with America. The Venus settlement has also gained sovereignty, becoming the nation Penglai. They are also not part of AERO, but are diplomatically hostile to China. (As in, hostile, but no combat.) Tensions rise, but are not yet significant. This is between Olympus and America, and Penglai, Mercury, and China. China and America have stable…ish relations. Yall will be starting on Mars (Olympus), in the residential area. STAP-L systems have just begun to be set up on Mars, and they direct your characters (at the beginning of the RP to the “Peak”, where humanity first touched down on Mars. It’s a major tourist destination. So! Your characters must have access to STAP-L tech somehow someway, and must be part of the Olympus colony. If you don’t want to make a character sheet, you can just summarize your character, but otherwise just give me things like Name Description Personality Pro Con etc.
