I discovered the Cosmere about a year ago with The Way of Kings and I QUICKLY fell in love with this world. I’m almost caught up in The Cosmere besides:

Wax & Wayne 2-4

Elantris (and accompanying Novellas)

Yumi and the Nightmare Painter

Tress and the Emerald Sea

Isles of the Emberdark

White Sand

Most of the smaller stories from Arcanum Unbounded

How do you feel about wayne so far?

Do YOU like Dragons? What Radiant Order's Ideals resonate the most with you? What Order's surges do you like the most?

Yay! Welcome!

Who is your favorite character from the Cosmere so far?

That’s such a hard question. I feel basic saying it’s probably Kaladin, but it’s probably Kaladin. He was my first main Cosmere POV and the experience of reading WoK and discovering all of this is heavily associated with him. Elend is a close second. He was without a doubt my favorite character of Mistborn Era 1😄

Welcome!

Have you read any of Sanderson's non-cosmere?

If you could invite any 6 Sanderson characters to a party, who would you invite?

I haven’t yet! I’d heard of him a little but never read his books. I actually wasn’t too much of a reader before him. But every time I was at the bookstore WoK always caught my eye, and last February we were having a major snowstorm where I lived. So I grabbed it on a whim not thinking I’d be able to finish it but wanting to try. I was hooked. I read it in 3 weeks, which is very fast for me with a book this size. Easily the biggest book I’d ever read at the time. WaT is currently the biggest book I’ve read😄

Dinner party should be easy I think:

Shallan & Adolin without a doubt.

Ham to prod Shallan with questions.

Wax and Wayne because it’d be fun to watch them bicker as Wayne traded for all my stuff.

And then I think Siri. I loved her so much.

:D

That's a nice party

I feel like Adolin and Ham would get along really well, and Wayne would probably get along with everyone.

I love Wayne. He’s not my favorite character in Era 2, that’s Marasi, but he’s so fun to read! I feel lucky that Sanderson’s humor has always clicked with me. Even with Shallan’s terrible but charming puns. I just read the King Lopen Tale a couple days ago and LOVED IT. It must be tough to be fan of the Cosmere and struggle with his comedic characters.

Historically I do like Dragons. As of rn I know very little outside of Coravellium Avast and “The Old Reptile” from the Stormlight Epigraphs, who I’ve come to infer is Frost. Though I know very little about him.

The Order’s Ideals I resonate with the most is either Edgedancer or Windrunner. According to the Dragonsteel quiz I got Edgedancer so that’s usually what I go with.

That’s super hard. From the surges we’ve really seen I’d say that Skybreaker’s have the coolest surges. They have not Gravitation and Division so they’re pretty powerful. I’m still super interested in more ways to explore Windrunner Adhesion though. I don’t feel like we’ve seen enough of that yet.

Voices of the void isn’t a book it’s a horror game that inspires paranoia and it’s free on steam. Although if horror games aren’t your thing that’s fine.

Oh I haven’t heard of that. I don’t see it on Steam. Was its name changed?

I haven’t played many horror games but I’m willing to try. I’m a big gamer.

So many people have been talking about King Lopen, how did you read it?
