He reaches into his pocket, taking out the mostly-crushed berries, eating them, no longer worried about any poison. It wouldn’t be any worse than dying to a monster, or Ceru, or any of the other tributes. I’m already dead. Survival shouldn’t be enough of an issue to me to abandon Stylan… He wants to stand up, go and help, try to save… Is it better for both of us to die? Save Stylan from the Hydraspine, kill it or just flee… His legs find no strength to stand. So he leans back against the tree and cries for the loss that he knows will be swift in coming. He anticipates cannons firing in the distance, knowing that he could have tried to stop them. And he didn’t. How much of a fraud am I? Quote Is anyone else in the forest?
