Man I can only rep you once that's unfair

Precisely what I thought when I saw your song

Mama I’m so sorry

But I ain’t been feeling good

Dragged around this weight

Probably longer than I should

Oh and I’m so sorry

For the damage that I drew

They gave me a knife

Before I knew what it could do

Mama please forgive me

For the lessons that I learned

Time is cold and brutal

And this world will quickly burn

Fragile hopes and dreams that

Dwell in youth and golden skies

Truth is but a candle

In a darkened room of lies

Mama I’m so sorry

For the shadows in my eyes

You had no idea

My eyes hide the bleeding cries

Oh and I’m so sorry

My eyes run far over miles

Mirrors to grand halls

Hiding all my lost goodbyes

Mama please forgive me

For the lessons that I learned

Time is cold and brutal

And this world will quickly burn

Small attempts to speak up

In the South that rust ain’t done

Smile and bite your teeth down

Just keep rising with the sun

Mama I’m so sorry

For the way that I turned out

Beaten up and knocked down

Bruises framed inside this house

Mamas teach your babies

To hold on as best they can

This world is cold and brutal

And someday they’ll have to stand

*Hugs*

Thanks

*Hugs*

*Gladly accepts chocolate*

Thank you

Oof

*send even more hugs*

I agree with Spartan

The imagery in this one is really cool

Mmk working on some songs of my own BUT I wanna share these from one of my favorite artist that I haven't been able to get out of my head lately. They're both off his new album, and man is it amazing

Both by Sam Barber

Hate It Here:

Spoiler

Shaky breathing, subtle speaking

It ain't fierce but it shows

Cause aimless meaning, sheetrock and ceiling

Have turned me into a ghost

Endless working, concrete poured in

It all sinks to my chest

Burn the curtains cause I'm fairly certain

There's only darkness ahead

And I can't escape the way

That you say I've changed

And I hate the way

That you say my name

All I am and all I was is all I hear

And I'd give all just to turn back the years

Where I've been, what I've done is what I fear

Most days, I hate it here

Well I hate it here

Pictures hanging, hung up by shameless

Ways that I'd never show

Bone dry, ran through, I can't even blame you for

Trading me for my ghost

I can't escape the way

That you say I've changed

And now I hate the way

That you say my name

All I am and all I was is all I hear

And I'd give all just to turn back the years

Where I've been, what I've done is what I fear

Most days, I hate it here

Well I hate it here

And all I am and all I was is all I hear

And I'd give all just to turn back the years

Where I've been and what I've done is what I fear

Most days

I hate it here

Run:

Spoiler

Saving money where I can

From mountain roads to boardwalk sands

Though I seem a simple man

Most days, I can't stand who I am

Love to me is a complex thing

Afraid I'll never get it right

And I ain't good enough for most

But hope someday I'll find a line

And if you wanna hate me, I'll only be sorry for whatever I've done

And if you wanna love me, I'm sorry, dear, but all I know is how to run

And if you ever need me, I'll try my best, but there's no chance I'd beat the sun

And if you wanna love me, I'm sorry, dear, but all I know is how to run

If I die before I call

The stash is hidden in thesе walls

And in this stormed-up game of cards

I've lеarned that I can't change after all

And if you wanna hate me, I'll only be sorry for whatever I've done

And if you wanna love me, I'm sorry, dear, but all I know is how to run

And if you ever need me, I'll try my best, but there's no chance I'd beat the sun

I fear if you haven't read Lewis Carrol's "Jabberwocky" through your childhood like I did, this will be mostly nonsense

Spoiler

‘Twas brillig, and the slithy toves did gyre and gimble in the wabe

All mimsy were the borogoves, and the mome raths outgrabe

But then there came the Jabberwock, with scratching claws and tearing teeth

Intent on burning down our dreams and building up our fears

In time we learned to take our vorpal swords and strike them down

The Jabberwocks with eyes of flame that come from town to town

And “I have slain the Jabberwock!”

We’d yell and beam with joy

Medusa and the giant Roc

And each time we rejoiced

But time grew on and so did we

The beasts grew taller too

And we forgot to respect our fears

And now they’re just something we’d like to lose

We do not fear the Jabberwock, which burbles as it comes

We don’t beware the Jubjub bird, and the Bandersnatch we don’t shun

We pass right by them every day, they flicker in our breath

But we refuse to pay them mind, they’re closing in on death

The monsters in our closets once controlled our fears at night

And to lose them to our memory is to lose a part of life

The pegasi and centaurs carried us through sky and land

But then we had to learn to walk without them holding our hand

And “I have slain the Jabberwock!”

We yelled and beamed with joy

Medusa and the giant Roc

And each time we rejoiced

But time grew on and so did we

The foes came taller too

And we forgot to respect our fears

And now they’re just something that we’d like to lose

‘Twas brillig, and the slithy toves did gyre and gimble in the wabe

All mimsy were the borogoves, and the mome raths outgrabe

Around and round bloomed cheerful cries, victory and frabjous day

But now the victory means less, callooh, callay

The Jabberwocks come strong and swift, not like they were in young days

Those frabjous days, callooh, callay

Callooh, callay

Callooh, callay
