"Saving more lives than murdering. Take a recent prisoner, a mass murderer. My agents apprehended him, and after he started a riot, we executed him. How many lives did we save that day?"

"Enough. Prisoners do not debate their superiors. Guards," he said, turning to Yuli and Terrance. "bring both of these chambers to my office. We will discuss what happened today thoroughly."

Feren turned to Bakhado. "Great job, Radiant. Now we're going to speak to the Warden, himself!"

Huuuuuuuhhh?????

Stormlight… it is…

Read it. That’s an order.

Skybreakers essentially follow the law no matter what without question. They believe that keeping order is more important than following morals, and accept that no law is perfectly moral, but still believe that the law is the highest ideal.

As they climbed through the winding halls towards the tower, where the Warden's office was, they noticed several angry prisoners, gathering to watch them. A couple shoved Yuli and the others.

Feren leaned in to Bakhado. "This whole mess is a boiling pot. These prisoners are riled up."

“And will this stop us, guard? You have to options here. Either punish us and probably and plausibly martyr us, inciting the riot yourself, or just leave us alone.
