She cursed near silently, then checked the other wagon.

Also empty. Lady Genuhk was gone.

She cursed again. She looked for footprints on the ground.

A few in the mud, too large to buy Lady Genuhks. They might be Master Igenes's, but it's hard to tell. For all she knew, they could belong to one of the bandits, or someone else in their party.

But, it was her best lead. She followed them sneakily, just in case it was a bandit.

The lead around the wagon, and then became untraceable as they went into the woods.

Jerehlu saw her leave the wagon, as he'd moved to stand nearby.

"We're you going? I thought they were in they were in the wagons."

"So did I." She grunted as she lost the trail.

He seemed to give her a flat look through the mask.

"Ohhhh . . . you are stalling! I commend you on your cleverness."

She jabbed a finger in his face. "I am not. Stalling. They were there, and now they're not."

"Now you're getting defensive! Sounds like a liar!" He chuckled at her.

She glared at him. "Where on earth..." she muttered.

"How about in heaven," Jerehlu said, "Perhaps they floated up into the sky while you weren't looking!"

"If you're saying you killed them..." It was the first half of a threat, but she didn't say what the threat was.

He held both of his hands up and open, palms facing her. "I told you I'm talented at theft not murder! I would never!"

"And your followers?"

"They have their own ways, I respect that."

He tilted his head, "That said, they wouldn't have killed someone without telling me."

She was visibly agitated, and the tops of her ears twitched. "I, at least," she said, "am willing to hear out your terms, but I will not agree to anything yet."

"Okay," He replied.

The arrow flies, and hits one of them, but it get's him in the arm and isn't lethal.

This man let's out a loud squal of pain as the sword slashed up into him. Halfheartedly he swings his sword. There's very little power behind it, but the blade is sharp, and it grazes Alvar's arm.

The bandit dodges at the last minute, and the knife sinks into his leather pauldron. He grabs Eublech's wrist with a gloved hand and rips the knife out, throwing Eublech onto the ground in one motion. In seconds another bandit was on top of him, pinning him down.

Nera ran through the trees, circling around the camp. She had two bandits on her tail and both of them were gaining on her. Short legs weren't her ally in this situation.

Tenth analyzed the situation from his position, flattened atop the wagon. It appeared the escortees were gone. He looked down at the hostiles, wondering if they were still hostile.

She walked back over to the nymph’s tree.

"Heeey don't go back to your tree, clearly it's safe down here, I'd hate to have to yell and ruin my voice."

They didn't appear to be 'at the ready', now that Jerehlu was handling things and Nera and Eublech were captured. That said, most still had their weapons drawn.

How good is this guy? Alvar is very skilled and trying to attack with surprise - expert swordsmanship is hard to come by as a bandit, I expect.

Alvar spins, twisting his blade to try to block the strike. A string of blood held together by magic connects to the end of the blade.

See, the idea with him was that you're first attack is fatal, but before he died he still took a halfhearted swing at you. He ded.

"Yay!! That's wonderful, shall I give you my terms?"

Alvar would much rather be alive facing a wounded opponent than injured with a dead one. He might be unable to block - as I said, I don’t know how skilled this bandit would have been.
Also, I think he’s stuck in the past right now. Accelerated time will be needed so no reconning is.
