Starting to carve a 6 foot long shardblade from soild cedar (Any advises from any carvers and wood workers out there?

I am not a woodworker, but I do have one question: How are you planning to carve it? 'Cause I don't think an average woodcarving knife is going to be up to that task...

band saw, table saw and an speciel selection of knives and power tools. also I'm thinking of doing Sunraiser because not many people do it. do you think it would look good as compared to other blades or should I do Nightblood?
