Hello guys, new reader here, have some doubts

I started reading the way of kings, i find it quite hard to power through even though I am convinced that this series has everything that I usually like in a book, want to understand something before deciding if giving up

Hello! The Way of Kings is very slow in the beginning, but definitely worth it. Is it your first Sanderson book? It can be a rough one to start with.

I agree, it can be difficult to start with WoK (I know from experience lol). It can be pretty slow, but the ending is worth it imo. Some of his other books like Mistborn are a lot faster paced, so if you find yourself wanting to try something else of his, you could start there.

I think that you should read some more before deciding! Although this site is full of Brandon fans so we're very biased

I'd say, if you're really having a hard time with The Way of Kings, maybe start your Cosmere journey with Mistborn or Warbreaker. You might not understand everything that goes on in those, but they're a lot easier to pick up and get into than the Stormlight Archive on your first readthrough, and they're the books Stormlight references the most, so they make reading it lots of fun because of the Easter eggs.

If it's mostly a 'This is starting off really slow and I'm kinda bored' deal, though, just keep pushing. Once you get into the main story, things start to pick up a lot.
