I am going to attempt to answer this as diplomatically as possible. Malmahan doesn't just kill talented artists, he kills geniuses at the peak of their talent. So, either Ariana Grande is, by Malmahan's thinking, not a genius or has not reached the peak of her talent. That is the diplomatic answer.
