So. I want to make MLP accesible to anyone. I've been developing a "watch order" because, like many kids shows, it is occasionally a offender that will have episodes that contribute nothing to any other episodes. Of course, the reccomended order is "begin at the beginning, and go on till you you come to the end: then stop" but i get that many people simply don't have the time. *cough* @Ascended Grubberfly *cough*

So, the one i've been concocting is customizable. I'll have lists of the episodes that further a certain characters arc; I'll have a list for the epic of Twilight Sparkle and whatnot; I'll have a Cutie Mark Crusaders one, and this one. Equestria and its Royal Sisters.

For what is Equestria without Celestia and Luna? (Yes, I know. SHHH, if they need this, they don't). This will include all the episodes on the Elements of Harmony, major worldbuilding episodes (crystal ampire, changelings, etc), any episodes that firther the sister's (admittedly hard to spot) arc, and episodes on the history and culture of equestria (hearth's waming, nightmare night, etc).

I want to get this posted soon, but this WIL be subject to edits. And I would love help, you can comment or PM anything and I'll fix it. I don't need to carry this on my own- my goal is to find more of you.

	Anyway, withiut further Ado, beginning:

	Equestria and its Royal Sisters

 Friendship is Magic

Well, of course. It's the first episode, a two parter, and obviously VERY important. As it's part of the first 4 seasons, it's available on Netflix, or here on Youtube.

And a companion to this, noncanonical technically, but faithful to the show and will really help you understand the sister's relationship:

	Lullaby for a Princess

This probably can be watched before FiM. It goes into the sister's backstory and the banishment and whatnot, and is nothing more than is narrated in the first couple minutes of FiM. Also, it's really, really good. I love it. Brony music is awesome.

 Winter Wrap Up

A Equestria Culture episode. Also helps with the worldbulding on how weather and the season work in Equestria.

 Over a Barrel

Culture? I think? This is prob optional.

 The Return of Harmony

VERY IMPORTANT. A Harmony episode, of course.

 Luna Eclipsed

We finally get to know Luna! And get Equestria Culture while we're at it!

 Hearth's Warming Eve

DEFINITELY a very important Culture episode, as well as World building and History, as the Mane Six put on a play of the founding of Equestria.

 Family Appreciation Day

This.. is actually Ponyville History. It's primarily a Cutie Mark Crusaders episode, though, and you'll probably need that backstory. IDK, it might be optional.

 A Royal Canterlot Wedding

This is where you start to see a shift in the show. We get major worldbuilding, some fairly good songs, a great plotline, and you may see some subtle improvements to the animation style (you can see more the next episode). A great two-part episode.

I'll be live editing in as I go. This remains unfinished. You'll want to wait on using my watch order at least until I post the Character Arcs list.

i want to get this posted but am out of time will finish through edits tomorrow bye AH-

Why My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is more than just a kid's show

Yes, I know i've been annoying people with this stuff. So, i decided the solution is to convert everyone to my side! Hopefully this will answer your question, @Ascended Grubberfly. Plus, this is my blog, and i purposely kept it general so i could pettily do whatever i want*

*within the code of conduct, of course. No offence is intended, either.

	A) Plotlines

Of course, this is often one of the most critisized element of shows meant for small children. It needs to be simple enough for them to follow along, which makes it too simple for anyone over the age of 6 to enjoy, right?

	WRONG.

In fact, i believe that this show is better aimed at children 6-9. Already we've arrived at a assumption most anti-bronies make, that this is a show that rests with the likes of Paw Patrol. This is intended for a older, though still young, crowd. Making it closer to you.

The entire show is filled with overarcing plots and character arcs. Many of the plots can be unpredictable- and while yes, a good amount of the episodes contian the sorts of plots you might be expecting, the makers handled them skillfully enough to still be entertaining to us. And the overall plot is no worse than the types we're used to. (Most major plot points can be found in the two-part episodes, which form their own plot of the epic of Equestria, forgoing subplots such as those of the Cutie Mark Crusaders)

Also, another note: the Cutie Mark Crusaders are the Mane Six's younger sisters (and one unrelated) and they have their own episodes and own plot based around cutie marks. These are the worst offenders of the "basic plots in kids shows" thing, but they rarely interfere with the main plot (as they're seqestered off in their own episodes) and you can skip them if you REALLY need to. Except the Cutie Mark Chronicles. Contrary to the title, this is mostly about the Mane Six, and is a GREAT episode.

And anyone that doubts a kid's show can be meaningful to adults needs a couple episodes of Bluey.

	B.) Characters

Now THESE are masterful. The thing to remember is that every character in fiction starts as a trope until you can get to know them, otherwise you would forget them. That's a "rule" most people follow, and another thing about kids shows is that you may not get to know them beyond their tropes. That's not problem here.

All of the Mane Six- Twilight Sparke, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, and Applejack- have deep characters and full arcs*. And not "you learn a lesson every season" arcs**. GOOD arcs. I'd siggest you see for yourself.

*Well, Applejack gets next to no arc. She's a fairly good character, though.

**You actually do learn a lesson every episode, but not in a annoyingly obvious way. More like a moral of the story as we might get in a lot of fiction for a older audience. Until Twilight sums it up in a "what did we learn tpday?" at the end of the episode, but a not very annoying way.

	Um, what's the other thing?

	um...

	More stuff

First, the fandom. The Herd is a GREAT fandom. It's like Sanderfans, not the wretched hive of scum and villainy so many internet fandoms are these days. Unfortunately, it's kinda dormant, since the new 3D mlp stuff came out. DONT WATCH THAT ONE. THATS THE WRONG ONE. GET AWAY FROM IT. DO FRIENDSHIP IS MAGIC.

Now, many people that My Little Pony is a pile of girly misogyny.

They are very wrong. I will die on this hill.

But I won't argue when not asked to. The mods might get upset by that sort of argument.

	So. James.

I often look at my bookshelf and ponder on the significance of James.

I mean, so many of authors on my shelf are named James. And so many are some of my favorite authors.

	So...

	- James #1- James Ponti

So this guy writes middle grade mystery. The first one I read was called Framed! and it was really good. It was the first of a trilogy. It's about this kid who just uses his theory of "teeny tiny details add up" and whatever. nice mystery.

But my favorite of his is called City Spies. Despite the cringey title (and cringey story behind it) the books are actually really good. Book 7 just came out a couple months ago. Or maybe 9. *counts on fingers* *cant figure it out*

He also is starting a new series called Sherlock Society. Pretty good.

The outlier here is his Dead City series about zombies in New York. It ruins all my organization.

	- James #2- James Riley

So this guy is WEIRD. but in a cool way. like how Alcatraz is weird.

So my favorite of his is middle grade, called Story Thieves. It's really good an you need to read it. It's basically a "jumping inside other books" thing. However, Riley uses this idea to constantly change genres. The first is classic fantasy and classic science fiction at the same time, the second a mystery with a bunch of flashbacks, the third a superhero book. Then Riley beffudles us all by making the fourth one a choose your own adventure. And it's the best I've seen of its type- not the common kind or litRPG kind, but a genuinely good novel that also feels really fun to choose things. And the choices don't feel forced, and they're a hilarious plot device since the character are aware you're making choices for them and quite annoyed about it. The fifth isn't exactly a classic representation of a genre like the others, but you know, culmination of the series. Though there are some nice dystopian bits.

His other good series is The Revenge of Magic. Really nice fantasy series. Not sure I can accurately explain it. The nice part is how it tosses away the Alcatrazy humor of his other series for seriousness, which I'd previously doubted he was capable of. Really good.

His original is Half Upon a Time, which are some nice fractured fairy tales. There's also a continuation trilogy called Once Upon Another Time.

	-James #3- Anna James

This author is WONDERFUL. I just got a signed copy of one of her books!

So her main series, Pages & co. (often called The Book wanderers cause that's the first books name and sounds better and fits it better) is also about traveling about books, but it's more like cozy fantasy. It's about a girl who lives in a nice little bookshop who discovers she can "bookwander" (what a cozy word!) into books so goes to a tea party in Wonderland and whatnot. But the stakes to get higher as the series continues, it becomes more of a normal fantasy, and it's really cool.

She also just started a new series called the Chronicles of Whetherwhy, which is also really good. Great school of magic vibe with a cool magic system.

And, lastly (she spent most of her time on bookwanderers, which is now complete so she's doing new stuff) there's Alice With a Why. Nice Alice in Wonderland thing in the spirit of Percy Jackson and whatnot. Well, actually not like that. It's one of those where people write sequels to classics.

Also, DISCLAIMER: you shouldn't read any of her books on a empty stomach. She loves to mention every meal and somehow makes it sound VERY delicious without feeling overdescriptive. Most of the time.

So I'm running out of time, but I'll write Part 2 tomorrow.

Wait a second, nevermind. All that's left is honorable mentions (I think) so I'll just stick them in.

	Honorable Mentions

	-James Dashner

You know Maze Runner? Yeah, that guy. It was pretty good. Nothing to go on about for me. Except my Newt rant, which shall wait.

	-James Patterson

This guy is EXTREMELY suspicious. NO ONE can write that fast.

But the bestsellers list would get mad at me if I was talking about Jameses and forgot to mention him.

	-James Islington

I can't legally talk about him, as I just got the book today and haven't started reading it. But thanks, @NeverTrustAesSedai!

No, you’re not getting my poetry. Not yet.

These are some words a phrases with interesting or unknown meanings. That’s all.

Plus I need to start posting in my blog.

	- Dead Bird Autocorrect

This, I have little idea of. It has an important meaning that no one knows…

	- Sesquipedalian

One of my favorite words! Try saying it: ses-quip-uh-day-lee-un. It means long words, or people who use long words.

	- Randomosity

Somewhere between Random and Animosity. Actually has nothing to do with animosity, but it felt right. Basically randomness.

	- Brick

See Cult of the Slightly Damaged Brick to understand why it has officially stopped looking like a word.

	- Frankenstein, Or; The Modern Prometheus

I don’t know why. Something about the title, the punctuation, the grammar, is amazing. I don’t know why. Hence my former member title: “Timing, Or; Always Slightly Behind” which didn’t sound as good, but was very accurate.

I might add more when I remember them.

	ummm

as I’ve said, I never have conclusions

so I remember since a long time ago, the farthest i can definitely remember is year and a half but there could be more I forgot, I would be thinking like

“*sighs* if only i was a girl! too bad I’m not!” and part of me would go *coughs* trans *coughs* but I would dismiss it and stop thinking about it because I thought that, from not quite paying enough attention to my parents, trans people were already born with hormones that didn’t match their body. which I now recognize as a misunderstanding of a seed of not paying attention to the concept or hrt. and during the past school year, it got worse, like “ughhhhh why couldn’t I just be born a girl, or be trans,” and imagining being a girl.

then sometime in March, I started interacting with Lily here on the shard, followed here, and therefore got a bunch of notifications from this thread. and often when not many people are online, I go through the notifications I ignored before because they’re from threads I don’t have anything to do with, like notifications from posting in rps. So I went to the notifications from here, and basically

 *thinks vigorously*

the best way I can think of to say it is like being hit by a avalanche. This is a very bad way to say it. It doesn’t match very well. But I’m not good with metaphors.

 so

 yeah

that kind of pushed me into what I wasn’t seriously considering

and then it was very *word*

I am apparently running out of descriptive words

anyway then it was very… extreme?

 it was very very

 very

then one time I found one of Lily’s old posts here, I forgot how, where she was talking about signs she saw that she was trans, and it really resonated with me. It was scary.

and then the next was one of lily’s posts here where she said something like “people are wrong when they say ‘cis people don’t question their gender’” and a conversation between Aeoryi and Verdance in a early Yuri of the Day that was something like [I tried typing a summary here for a while, but it was too hard so I’ll just link it]

and that made me think a lot about if this was just a phase, and if it was a perfectly cis thing to question myself and I would just settle on staying cis, and stuff.

Amd I was surprised when I came to the conclusion that it wasn’t the stuff in the above paragraph

And then I would constantly draft myself coming out here for like a month, but know I would probably never do that. And then today I was doing that again, and just spontaneously jumped on here and posted.
