    I was thinking continuously compounded luck would work something like being Taveren in WoT. Basically you become Mat Caution. better yet it would work for more than just single combat. you could make a serious difference to a battle or war simply due to your side always being lucky.

    chromium allomancer/ chromium feruchemist. May as well use compounding to get unlimited luck. I think thats more OP than infinite healing. with infinite luck no one will ever be in a position to shoot you anyway.

    Szeth doesn't actually say that plate interferes with lashings. he says that the gemstones which power it do. because a radiant can hold storm light in their body and this storm light can power plate (as shown by kaladin), it seems likely that the only issue would be the fact that the gauntlets would prevent paladin from touching things to lash them.

    I think it will be interesting to find how this will affect the shallan storyline given that she seems to be using stormlight in more noncombat situations than kaladin, who dislikes what storm light does to him when he isn't on duty. on the other hand kaladin uses storm light to stay on duty for unnatural amounts of time. this could lead him to become a savant. PS Senor feesh I'm giving you an up vote for a badass profile pic. We spaceflight nerds have to stick together.

    I think were going to see the real time viewpoints regardless of who gets the flashbacks. i want to see Eshonais flashbacks because she would answer a lot of questions about how the war started. granted Szeth could answer some of those too but Eshonais viewpoint is likely to be critical

    the roads around the field of rebirth are specifically described as being paved in asphalt. it is strongly implied that this is unusual, implying that other roads are usually cobbled or dirt/gravel.

    There was a poll a few weeks ago about who the next book should follow flashback wise. I think that Eshonais future importance to the plot will justify giving her the flashback sequences. These reasons are: 1) The very fact that she is going to have a flashback sequence at any point implies that she is a candidate for radianthood. one of the major reasons for this is bran dons use to date of flashback sequences as explanation for how a viewpoint character was broken. 2) Eshonai is being followed by a comet like spren. 3) I don't think for a moment that Eshonai died falling into the chasms. 4) Several of the listener songs included as epigraphs reference prophecies implying that parshendi will eventually become radiants. Bear the world on his arms anyone? Any thoughts/ opinions on who should get the spotlight in the next book?

    I would really like to find the details on why eshonai voted to kill gavilar. it seems obvious that he was of similar motive to the sons of honor but i am interested in finding out the specific circumstances of eshonais discovery of this. another mystery (as sigzil pointed out) is how the parshendi acquired szeths oathstone.

    thank you for the warm introduction. I can't believe i didn't mention that I'd read war breaker. the identity of Szeths new friend would be much more confusing without that. my favorite cosmere novel is WOR.

    I think the black Sphere contains at least some part of Nergaoul, the unmade which creates the thrill. I think this is likely because: Taravangian suggests that the thrill may be strongest in Jah Keved Dalinar feels the thrill most strongly immediately before gavilars death. Amaram suggests that gavilar was involved with the sons of honor. collecting the unmade is an obvious step to causing a desolation, as is apparently their goal. Eshonai's interludes show that spren can be held in gemstones. finally collocating the peak of the thrill with the black sphere is just too big of a coincidence to really be a coincidence. this is brandon sanderson after all.
