  1. Almost Camp NaNoWriMo time! Excitement and panic together make a very interesting emotion...

  2. Hey, Edgedancers are cool. I think I originally tried Mist and Windrunner separately, but they were taken, so I smashed them together.
  3. We can keep this one. Let's continue on without our (sadly departed) originator and do what it mentions in the original post: Seeing as it's nearly time for Camp NaNoWriMo, sounds like as good a place as any to discuss that! Anybody up for book discussing? Of course we are, this is the 17th Shard!
  4. You mean like King Louis the Fat?! I'm related to him!Sorry, though. Already in the Sharder cabin.
  5. I think so... What's your username?
  6. Ah, it's just a mixture of Mistborn and Windrunner. Seemed incredibly clever at the time. OF COURSE! STUDIO C FOREVER! Can't wait for the new season! Lots of spices, bacon bits, some clam chowder, maybe a salad, some steak, perhaps some nice rolls or garlic bread (extra butter) potatoes, and very little human. Cooked well-done, of course.
  7. The username's Mistrunner. Same as on here. I'm usually more creative...
  8. If anyone else is doing Camp NaNoWriMo this summer, who's up for sharing a cabin? I trust your advice better than random peoples'. Somebody? Anybody?
  9. When you finish your reread of almost every Sanderson book you own and now you have no idea what to read until Stormlight 3 comes out.
  10. Over 1,000 rep. Best day of my life.

  12. Welcome! You should read Mistborn- then you'll understand what I mean when I say that he cookies are spiked. Soon, someone will come here with promises of cookies. They have literal spikes in them. Just a warning. You can probably tell already that the 17th Shard is a place of the weird and wonderful. Welcome to our world.
  13. So what do we do now? Throw large volumes at the illiterate masses? Hurl sharp words at each other? Compose bad poetry?
  14. I've read Hamlet and Macbeth, excerpts from Romeo and Juliet, and started Midsummer Night's Dream and King Lear.Does "crazily reading from it while friends ignore me/look on in horror" count as acting? I have been in plays... Just not Shakespeare, unfortunately. I know someone who does, though. In his first play he was the "cream-faced loon." The group he does it with is based very far away from where I live, quite unfortunately. Ophelia. Because we're both crazy.
  15. ...a little bit of both, to be honest...
  16. I loved Macbeth. So dark. And the Weird Sisters! And "Out, darned spot!" And trees! Oh, sparks, I love Macbeth!
  17. The YouTube playlist is at Enjoy! It's awesome. Haven't seen the one where he's Hamlet. I should look that up.
  18. I liked reading Shakespeare... Of course, I did read it not in an English class, which in and of itself elevates its goodness. Also, I got to dramatically read out loud from it to my lunch group. They ignored it, 'cause that's normal behavior for me. Has anyone else seen Hamlet starring David Tennant and Patrick Stewart? The Doctor and Picard doing Shakespeare. Can't get any better than this. ...but seriously, it was fantastic.
  19. What my friends must always be thinking. I'm not sorry at all. (And yes, I spelled the words out fully. So sue me. At least I didn't correct the grammar. )
  20. When you make up David-worthy metaphors (similes?). Even if they're not really on purpose... Things like "It's like playing a platypus in chess" and "Famous singers are like name-brand macaroni."
  21. Thanks. Burritos, I think. Less messy.
  22. SOSOSORRY ACCIDENTAL DOWNVOTE It was supposed to be an upvote... *sniffles* can somebody cancel that out please? Yes! I do know Lindsay Stirling! She is fantastic. Her "Mission Impossible" cover with the Piano Guys was awesome. I... look nothing like it, really. I'm blonde. And I have shorter hair. I'm also not a computer-made chibi thing. Thanks for the questions!
  23. Eloquently said, and I understand completely. I just believe that my religion brings happiness, and yes, several people have told me they want nothing to do with it. I won't force anybody; it's their choice. I just want them to have that chance, if I'm making any sense. And for about the eightieth time, thanks to everybody for being so pleasant and informative on this thread. I haven't seen an angry word yet, and I doubt I will, because you're all awesome. Virtual cookies for all! (Non-spiked, of course.)
