Wow, way to make us hunt for it Iredomi, and kudos to Pinpoint. Upvotes both of you.

If the push and lashing were the same strength, an arrow pointed directly at Kaladin would spin 180 degrees and then stop in the air. Then, the arrowhead would be ripped off, after however long it takes for the force of the push to overcome the thing holding the arrowhead onto the arrow, and the lashing would then be the only force acting on the arrow.

How about Omin, the Arelish Korathi priest? EDIT(Again): A quick look through my book has lead me to think that it is Ahan, the wannabe one-upper of business deals.

Is it Raoden? EDIT: nvm, thats too obvious.

Well, for the part connecting the moon, the chandrian, and the lackless, here's a theory. Insane Theory (entirely speculation): In Latin(just an example, not saying Rothfuss uses Latin as a basis), there is no letter J. When you translate Latin names, i.e Jupiter, its really Iupiter, and English swaps in the J. I think Jax (stealer of the moons name) is really Iax, as in Haliax. The way Haliax got his skill in naming when he had turned evil started with the stealing of the moons name. This book is rife with stories being twisted over time and getting mixed up. Also, couldn't the Lackless box be the box that Iax used to capture the name of the moon? EDIT: I really should have read the whole thread, huh? I see now that my Haliax=Iax theory has already been mentioned. Basically, I think Iax=Jax=Haliax.

So glass cannons vs. titanium toothpicks? XD

Welcome to 17thshard! Be sure to check out the Shardhunt if you haven't already. I can vouch for the awesomeness of its results . Also, be careful, the admins all have spikes in them, so they are a bit crazy.

Can we make a new account just to downvote TheFallGuy, or is there any point to it. It looks like zucchini is the lowest we can go. I'd imagine doing this on a normal basis would get you banned if you were discovered, but as long as we are just downvoting TheFallGuy, who cares? More downvotes for science's sake!

We must go deeper. surely there are ranks lower than zuchini. Like, I don't know, squash? Beets? Or maybe, even, the dreaded spinach?

WOR finished (OFFICIALLY) - Launch date confirmed
Cartith replied to Natans's topic in Stormlight Archive
Hm, 12 hours sounds about right, depending on whether I have classes/work that day. I'll be requesting the day off if I can XD. My brain is itching waiting to devour WoR now. -
Well, Hoid.

I like this idea. Although, I'm not sure its possible. If Ruin could spike people then, when he was trapped in his prison, why couldn't he spike people himself once he was free?

I copy/pasted the {{xx}} straight from Joe's reply, and looked up the guide on the wiki. Thanks for the tip.

I edited the article on the Set. Based on what we know now, I would like to submit it as Complete.

I updated the page on the Set, adding information about Wax's uncle and the confrontation at the end of the book, along with the suspected goals of the Set(breeding Mistings). However, as it is my first time editing, I didn't know how to add in the citations for the info I put in. Could you tell me how to do it please?

I hadn't heard of it til I saw your link (being a grammar nazi, that thread name drew me in). It's hilarious. Funniest one to me is the Christmas special.

It might fix Marsh, but it would definitely kill him, as removing the keystone spike kills an Inquisitor. It is more likely, if you are right, that you would have to place the spike in its own special location.

How do you like your Brandon served?
Cartith replied to Mikanium's topic in General Brandon Discussion
I prefer e-books simply because it allows me to read them faster. Why drive to the nearest bookstore(over half an hour away), when I can buy the ebook as soon as I wake up on release day, and for cheaper as well. I've slowly but surely been accumulating a hardcover collection, but its going slowly, as I only search in used bookstores and thrift shops, excepting my one signed copy of WoK that I bought online.- 28 replies

I never said being an epic was a happy experience XD

Snapshot: Abilities: Super Reflexes 360 degree vision Perfect Aim (even to the point of being able to shoot incoming bullets out of the air). Weaknesses: Weak to Sensory Overload. Too many things going on around him causes him to react like a Tin Burner does to the same thing. This is more a logical reaction than an actual Epic's Weakness. Epic Weakness: When around an inactive (intentionally and permanently disabled, not just unused) or toy firearm, loses all powers. Yes, he can be killed by someone holding a water gun. Epic Brand of Evil: Anything that remotely startles him, even just something moving unexpectedly nearby, gets shot. Anyone that comes too close, and moves to touch him, even accidentally, gets shot. *Always introduces himself with the Halo Announcers way of saying Snapshot, also says this when he kills someone*

I wasn't saying that it was intentional (i.e, Steelheart named himself that for that reason), I was just pointing it out.

I think Sanderson has said before that hemalurgy does not necessarily kill, hasn't he? I'll try to find citation. EDIT: My college's internet is having networking issues, which is causing a very slow internet speed. It might not be until later that I can find a quote. EDIT AGAIN: Found it. BRANDON SANDERSON (PARAPHRASED)One does not have to kill someone with Hemalurgy to charge a spike, but it rips off a large part of the soul. The person would not be the same. source: http://www.theoryland.com/intvsresults.php?kw=hemalurgy. Question #42
