When someone snaped in Era 1, how did they know? Did it happen and then they randomly pickup a metal and eat it, discovering it? Probably not, right? Why would they randomly eat metal? If so, how did kelsier know so soon after snapping? If not, was there some feeling, like, OH I have allomancy now! of something?

Just as a small question, if nicrosil you store feruchemical powers like a coppermind then wouldn't you no longer be able to use feruchemy to gte your feruchemy back? or is that wrong?

Thank you! I was once told that if you are burning copper and storing nicrosil, you could tap it and gain the power of copper. Is this correct? Also, what do you mean by the investiture that feeds the powers? Do you mean like before you burn copper you can store the copper itself into a nicrosilmind, or am I understanding that wrong? Another thing, it says that nicrosil can store investiture, but wouldn't storing feruchemical powers like a copper mind be part of your spiritweb, and therefore identity? Not investiture? Thank you, CoderDrag0n8

I am incredibly confused about nicrosilminds as a whole. I heard that they store feruchemical talents like a coppermind, but also store investiture like most metalminds?

Thanks! That was really helpful! I still think there might be something in how Harmony wasn't named Balance, but that makes a lot of sense.

Thanks! That really helped. I guess that does make sense.

I agree quite a bit with what Trusk'our said, and we also have to understand that there are some unknow qualities to using multiple powers. This is called a Resonance and I don't know much about it but I have heard it could be very dangerous (See: Surges of Roshar)

So in the Mistborn books they mention: Allomancy being of Preservation (Shard of Adonalsium) Hemalurgy being of Ruin (Shard of Adonalsium) Feruchemy being of Balance (?) When this was mentioned, Harmony was not yet in power, Harmony and Balance are different, and we know that feruchemy predates Allomancy and Hemalurgy. Some Other notes on Balance are: Ruin (Ati) mentions Balance (when Vin has become preservation) as something like the friction between Ruin and Preservation. So my question: What is Balance? Is Balance a 3rd shard of Scadrial? Is it the friction between opposing shards? If the second, how was Feruchemy made? Could a remanent of the shard Balance be on Scadrial, opposing Ruin and Preservation? What are Brandon's intentions of making Sazed 'Harmony' and not Balance? Is there something I'm missing?

That's actually a really good question! Most likely he hasn't discovered anything much on unsealed Metalminds, he seems very open to helping others, unlike the others from the original crew, like Kelsier or Harmony, each for various reasons. You also should take into account that spook got interested in Hemalurgy after the Catacandre and Marsh would probably be very welcome to being able to enhance his body. That could also mean that Marsh continued his tweaking as time went on because of spooks original acceptance to doing something like that. That could also be where various new discoveries about feruchemy came from, and maybe even some forwards on unsealed metalminds, given that Kelsier interacted with spook (See Mistborn: Secret History) and with this theory, Marsh too. I still don't think Marsh knows all that much on unsealed metalminds, based on earlier statements, but Hemalurgic testing could be very helpful in moving forward with either feruchemy or allomancy. In the end, I think it unlikely that Marsh had any contact with unsealed metalminds, but do think it likely that he experimented on himself or someone else did.

So when you are storing identity into a metalmind, does it become a keyed or unkeyed metalmind? Because you are already storing your identity, so how would that work?

In the last chapter of tLM it is shown that the Malwish ambassador that took the metal minds was part of Kelsier's crew, and he remarked, "I am sad that the Bands of Mourning didn't work." (Paraphrased)

Thank you so much! That was really helpful! I still don't understand unsealed metalminds, but I don't think that has been revealed yet, so I think I understand now!

I guess my one big question is: is investiture the key to preservation's magic? (You said metals are a key, and investiture can be used in place of a metal) of is investiture the magic from preservation?(You said metals are the key to preservation's investiture) Or is it both? Sorry if my questions are confusing.

Raoden-becuase magic is cool Feruchemy- because I just think it is such a cool idea! I'm not quite sure... I think there is a lot of potential for the spiritual metals, those are cool, and I'm not sure about allomancy, maybe cadmium or bendalloy I forget the one wayne has.

Hi, I Introduced myself, so if you want to know what I have and haven't read, check there. Here's a better example of my question: In Era 2 they drink pure investiture to replace the metals they eat, implying that the investiture is the power that you draw on from burning the metals. In Era 2 they also tap unsealed investiture metal minds that give them the ability to use feruchemy. Wouldn't that be storing sDNA wich would be in identy, not investiture? Or is there just some big difference between feruchemy and allomancy? Sorry if it's confusing.

Does your investiture decide what you can and can't do? Like does your investiture say that you can burn bronze? or is it a by-product of burning bronze?
