  1. "Start by calling me heathen. Then we'll talk."
  2. "Talin. Yes. A proper," he stops himself from saying heathen, "...name. I shall remember that! And you will address me as gyorn, or my lord."
  3. Norelt quickly began patching the leak, doing his best to keep the hole from expanding at all.
  4. "Arteth! Where do you keep records in this holy establishment? And hea---what was your name again?" @Ookla the Prehistoric
  5. "Follow behind me, heathen! To the chapel!" He began to walk back toward the chapel.
  6. "Of course not, heathen. Let's be off then."
  7. "Let me know if any open-minded heathens arrive--my work must begin immediately!" Again, not heathen? Was this man blind? "Yes! You will be a perfect heathen to be the door person! This heathen here will briefly train you and then we will be on our way!" He gestured at Tal.
  8. "Would anyone be willing to act as temporary door person while I look into some matters of eternal salvation for you heathens?" The gyorn called. "What heathen craft gives you that ability?"
  9. Not heathens? This was an odd man. "Tell me of this Rue along the way then! Is there another we could leave in your place as doorman?"
  10. "Let us compile one. You are a public servant are you not? Come with me back to the chapel. We will organize the records there, away from these prying heathen eyes."
  11. "Now how could that have gotten here?" He walked over and removed the stick.
  12. "Thank you! Now let's see what we can do about these potatoes."
  13. "We need a list of all of the members of Shu-Dereth in this heathen land."
  14. Norelt started awake. Water? But he had just fixed his roof! He jumped out of bed, collected his tools, and went back up to patch the leak.
  15. "Bother. You will be my odiv then! Come with me. We have some converting to do." He walked back toward the front desk. "You! We are now in need of assistance!" @Ookla the Believer
  16. Norelt was bored. Most of the rest of the village had left, but he wanted nothing to do with that. He was safe at home. He fixed some door hinges, then took a nap.
  17. It's worse than I thought... "Arteth, are there any members we could persuade to join the priesthood? I expect that we may need more than a single man to operate this chapel in the coming days, even with the help of Lord Jaddeth."
  18. "I guess that works too." He mumbled. The apple was delicious. As he finished it up, his tooth hit something that was very much not an apple. Of course. That's very Ted. He opened his cage and walked up to the galley.
  19. "Arteth! I demand an immediate inspection of this chapel. Assemble your priests!"
  20. The gyorn didn't even glance at Tal as he turned and made his way toward the chapel.
  21. "I only jest, Selina! Your cooking is fabulous."
  22. "Ah, but see you've already done that! How could I ever make them worse?" He chided, then laughed playfully.
  23. "I am in no need of assistance peasant. Where is your Derethi chapel? I must speak with the Head Arteth."
