  1. I discovered WoT through a friend at a workplace about 10 years ago. And I discovered Sanderson from the dragonmount forums (prior to Jordan's death). Personally, I much prefer Sanderson. One thing I never liked about the Power is it seems to be able to do most anything at all. iPhone 3g "There's An App For That" The One Power "There's A Weave For That"
  2. Well that'd be another way we could get a mistborn serial killer. Sazed isn't truly omniscient so maybe . . . he missed one? I take it that he can choose to see anything on Scadrial but not everything, if that makes sense (except metal). If he had no reason to suspect there were beads out there when he ascended, he might not have looked. Though just for curiosity's sake I do wonder if a breeding program for Mistings could eventually create a Mistborn after a few generations. I guess it depends on how the whole spiritual DNA thing works.
  3. And that thread implies that there is at least one more bead out there. Unless things have changed since then.
  4. Ferrings were diluted from Feruchemists I believe because they started to breed with the non Terris population. I'd imagine that might be the same with Allomancers. Could this mean that we could have breeding programs to recreate Mistborn? A few generations of Mistings having kids with other Mistings . . . and boom . . .Mistborn serial killer!
  5. Well to be fair when Stan Lee created Magneto I'm not sure he realized what he was creating when he 'just' gave him power over electromagnetism
  6. Yeah, the ebook you're looking at has a typo. The version I have confirms Fifth in chapter 3.
  7. Right it's 1000 . . . for the first rough prototype. Lifeless originally took 50 breaths, now only 1. There might be ways of making weaker versions of Nightblood that are still very deadly.
  8. As mentioned by Musicspren I'm also curious about Miles . . . What combos could be so potent as to be able to dismiss being shot in the head? We know that pewter makes you tougher, maybe pewter/pewter would give you bullet resistant skin? I don't think it'd be gold/gold for super health. If you got shot in the head and killed before you could burn the metalmind it wouldn't be of much use. Even if you were burning the gold, would you still be able to keep burning with a bullet in the brain? I think that it'd either be pewter/pewter for bullet resistant flesh, or maybe a pewter/steel for super speed and dexterity. Pewter/gold maybe? A pewterarm with gold healing might be able to survive a gunshot to the head.
  9. Yeah Magneto is in a whole different league. I love Kel as a character... but no. Whether metals were available to Magneto or not wouldn't be relevant to the fight.
  10. Apparently the population as a whole is aware of Marsh. Ironeyes . . . he could have a worse name. 16 tips to keep him away . . .and none of them work!
  11. You could charge the spike . . . at a slaughterhouse! This would sidestep the sacrifice issue. Also there's this http://www.timewastersguide.com/forum/index.php?topic=6655.msg129235#msg129235 . Piercings and Hemalurgy were used in the past to communicate with deities. But are the piercings required to be charged?
  12. Or the Kandra who choose to serve Sazed get an exemption.
  13. Maybe he can communicate with him both because he has some sort of spike, and he's 'thinking at' Sazed.
