yall my mom and dad just started watching this
normally they're in bed by now
& i'm awake doing hw by myself

Delmidrius grabbed a blanket and curled up on the couch, still thinking about family. It didn't take long for him to fall asleep.

Delmidrius moved away from the portrait and looked for the couch

He looked to Jac's bedroom. Who were these people? He thought of his own family. He hadn't told the full truth to Jac. His family was still alive. They just didn't want him. After his parents' death, he'd been tossed from relative to relative, until they eventually gave up on him. And Delmidrius gave up on them, too. He didn't need parents. He didn't need family. He needed some money and a train ticket to nowhere. He needed some place where they would never find him. He told himself he didn't care. He didn't. And yet... he still stared longingly at the portrait, wanting that.

Rhyme giggled, trying to remember. "I don't know." Rhyme tried really really hard not to think about her hand.

Rhyme tried to remember the rules of the Game. That always calmed her down. It would work now. "Rule 1. Always be Positive!"
