  1. Vora awoke with a start in an environment wholly different from the one she'd gone to sleep in. Trying to make as little noise as possible, she got up and began examining her surroundings.
  2. Shortly before the punch connected, Raviid slowed Elya down almost completely, walking over to Ji. "Does this help you understand any better?"
  3. "I'll be fine."
  4. "No, I'm usually rather pessimistic. But I am certain."
  5. "I don't actually speed myself up, just to be clear. I suppose I might be able to, but that's not where my talents lie. It's a little hard to explain without someone else seeing it, though. Elya, I'd appreciate it if you could punch me as hard as you can in the face. Ji, just watch how things play out. How does that sound?"
  6. Raviid took a moment to slow Ne'ik, then walked into the room, closing the door behind him. "Where should I start?"
  7. "Well, you're wrong on that count, but fair enough."
  8. "I don't suppose there's any chance you'd be willing to believe I'm not a Mystic?"
  9. Raviid sighed. "I'd really rather not get into this. Especially if it means leaving that loon alone for any length of time."
  10. "That's nice. Where do you think I figure into that? I'm happy to let you keep your magic nonsense private."
  11. "Sure. What do you want?"
  12. "I must apologize. I miscalculated the magnitude of the Fourth Sight's strain on my psyche. I suppose I shall have to continue trying until I can use it while remaining awake and aware."
  13. "Fair enough, fair enough. I've gone a bit sour on the revenge route, myself. Time heals all wounds, and all that." Raviid chuckles lightly to himself.
  14. After a few minutes, Sait slowly regained consciousness. He grinned up at Lina once again. "A most marvelous experience. I am indebted to you."
  15. "What's your fascination with Mystics, anyways, Ne'ik? Entomology wasn't doing it for you? Burning desire for revenge? Simple curiosity?"
  16. "It's not polite to eavesdrop, you know," Raviid said. "Besides, you probably don't want to be there when they come back through."
  17. "You don't have any reason not to, either," Raviid commented from the corner of the room.
  18. After what felt like an eternity, Sait felt something shift within his awareness. One of the purple eyes on his blindfold began softly glowing as his mind was flooded with information. He promptly collapsed, grinning widely even as he slipped into unconsciousness.
  19. @Channelknight Fadran
  20. "I'm Verim. Lovely to meet all of you."
  21. "I agree that we should be moving. We're lucky your attacker had a change of heart."
  22. Raviid moved over to the flailing assailant, moving easily around the tail and swiftly disarming him. He grabbed his coat back and moved to roughly where he'd been before, releasing his Foreseeing.
  23. Raviid moved like a man possessed. These lunatics were likely to kill each other even despite his slowing without further intervention, and he was solidly not in the mood for that today. He gave Elya a hard shove, knocking her off course, before throwing his coat over the newcomer's face to block his line of sight and swiping the bullets out of the air.
