There is so much unkown about the Awakenings, I think it might be my favourite as well - or the AonDor (just having reread Elantris might be the reason though ) Roshar is extremely thought through, got to love it right!

How does soulcasting affect the Spritweb of an person? What happens to the soul/spiritual aspect/sDNA of the people soulcast into things like crystal/rock, don't you soulcast just the body affectively kill the person? -

Creating aluminium oxides to form the correct crystals could be possible, but having the correct amount of impurities to get the correct colour and such would be very difficult to achieve - I imagine! And as far as I've read the WoBs, colour is of great importance..! But then, soulcasting don't physically do anything - it just convinces the "objects" to change.. What is so special about gemstones anyway?
