  1. As of era 2 a Mistborn would likely just try to shoot them from a distance (probably with either Aluminium or Ettmetal rounds). If the NR thinks of getting in close to avoid theses projectiles then he/she can Leach Nicroburst them. Brandon has said that Chromium can also stop a Shardblade from being summoned. I don't know if it will un-summon an already summoned Shardblade but if it can then you can also take a NR most trusted weapon.
  2. Ye I was just spit-balling I don't think it actually works like that however like I said above there has to be some interaction between electricity and "The Metallic Arts".
  3. The problem with that is the spikes still stick out the back of his head. Unless he constantly wears a hood or hat there is no hiding that fact. Maybe he could ask a Forger to make him a soul stamp that reverts him back to pre Inquisitor days.
  4. After reading up on how Chromium and Nicrosil work I have come to realize just how OP a Mistborn is. Chromium leaching is quite devastating to anyone using kinetic Investiture but it burns fast. Nicrosil can be used to augment peoples powers but can also be used in a similar manner to Chromium by rapidly depleting an enemies power. If you were a Mistborn and you Leached and Nicrobust someone at the same time I don't think anyone even a KR holding a lot of Stormlight will be able to hold on to their power.
  5. "Air sick lowlanders" No Cremling shells allowed
  6. As of now in era 2 the Northern Scadrians have only just discovered electricity (we don't know if the Southerners have discovered this yet). I wonder how this will interact with iron and steel Allomancy. Could you perhaps hold a piece of metal with an electric current going through it and transfer that current through the blue spirit lines into another piece of metal. This probably can't happen but I just can't see electricity not interacting with the "metallic arts".
  7. It is an awakened object and we know that those things can be either damaged or destroyed. Do you think that If you balanced Nightblood between two Aluminium anvils and dropped say 10 tonnes of Aluminium on him, would he break.
  8. Most Inquisitors pushes and pulls were said to be very strong so they probably have F-iron.
  9. I wonder how sharp Nightblood is. I mean you would never be able to sharpen it except with an Aluminium and even then it's so heavily invested that it is indestructible so even that wouldn't work.
  10. IIRC the "Oathpact" prevented the Fused from exiting damnation. This was maintained as long as Taln remained on Braize and since he broke from 4500 years of torture the Fused were able to return. The Everstorm just allowed for the Fused to keep returning after being killed. I think that's how it works but I have only read the SA once through.
  11. OK, "I THINK" this is how Nightblood works from what I have read in the books. I just don't see how you can change/destroy someones spiritweb without putting either yours or someone else's Investiture into it. That is how I see it right now, I am willing to have my mind changed though.
  12. Nightblood still has to force his Investiture into your spiritweb to break it down. What Aluminium does is purge your soul of unwanted Investiture so it technically should work against him but I could be wrong.
  13. A coinshot is not effecting you with their investiture, they are effecting the metal and directing it at you. It's like how people who are holding stormlight can't be effected directly by other NR but they can still be killed if someone lashes a giant bolder in their direction. What you are describing is normal Aluminium which is different to allumantic Aluminium. A normal ricochet is a problem but from what we have seen so far Ettmetal only explodes when exposed to water not on impact. It may be that Ettmetal works like that but for now we haven't seen it. Edit: sorry didn't read it right. You are correct that you would not want to miss your target.
  14. Only the Vorian culture base their caste system on eye color. I believe this is due to the fact that all NR eyes turn "light eyed" when summoning their shardblades. Because the Vorian church puts great emphasis on the Heralds and the early NR, anyone who shares there characteristics is deemed superior. The only problem is they looked at the eyes and nothing else.
  15. Yey, Aluminium is weird. It could go either way. My gut feeling is since Aluminium's ability is to purge the body of all investiture it would destroy the Duralumin. Now if you were able to target the investiture that you want purged then that is a different story.
  16. I don't know if we have seen Ettmetal copy Feruchemic abilities yet. The faster computers thing though I am so on board with. You could do the reverse with Cadmium for food storage.
  17. Would Duralumin do anything in this instance. The one time when Aluminium was used it destroyed all investiture in Vin's body instantly. I don't know if you even could burn Duralumin and Aluminium together since the Aluminium would destroy the Duralumin as well. We just don't know how much investiture per burn that Aluminium can destroy at one time. If its any amount that is in your system then just the normal amount of Aluminium will do. If there is a set amount then yes you would be right and you would need a ridicule amount of Aluminium in your system to stop the effects of Nightblood.
  18. Here are a few Ideas I had on future use of Ettmetal in the Mistborn world. Ettmetal round bullets: Ettmetal is extremely reactive with water and we assume blood. If you made bullets out of this stuff its essentially explosive rounds except far more deadly. Investiture warding juewelry: We know that Ettmetal can copy allomantic powers. If you were to have Ettmetal jewelry that copied Aluminum allomancy then it will purge your soul of unwanted investiture. This will essentially make you immune to direct forms of Investiture. Although it will probably also wipe all of your allomantic and feruchmic reserves. Ettmetal guns: Guns made from Ettmetal that copies steel allomancy. This gun will be able to fire bullets extremely fast without the kickback. What are some other Ideas you guys have for future uses of Ettmetal.

    Atium Alloys

This is possible. It would also fit with ruins intent. After all it would be pretty distressing to see your future shadow and its you as a beggar.
  20. So Brandon has said that burning Aluminium can purge the soul of unwanted investiture. Example of this is Brandon confirming that burning Aluminium can stop the withering of a Shade. This got me thinking, if you were cut by Nightblood and you burnt Aluminium just in time could you stop the absorption and corruption effects of the sword.
  21. Well when you put all this together a mistborn looks OP as hell.

    Atium Alloys

Thank you. I had some other ideas but they sounded to OP and not in keeping with the powers that allomancy has already displayed. IIRC Brandon has said that there is a way to enter the CR with allomancy, so I put it in hear as a extreamly fast burning one way trip ability. Your right that it probably doesn't do that.

    Atium Alloys

We can probably get an idea of what Atium and its alloys do by looking at the fundamentals of allomancy. Allomancy when fueled by preservation is all about preserving the user. An allomancer's physical body does not change when channeling preservation investiture. Ones height says the same, weight stays the same, they don't glow they don't distort colors. Preservation protects the user from his/her own investiture. steel and iron misting don't have limbs ripped off when swinging around the city or get whiplash for instance. It is also very hard to become a savant with allomany. Allomancy only allows investiture to flow through you at a certain rate even when flared. Given all this what would allomancy powered by ruin be like. Harmony seems to think that Atium agreed with Ruins intent because it made you an unstoppable killer. Given this any Atium alloy I believe must either be dangerous to the user or to others around him/her. Atium - sees the future (dangerous to others, makes you unstoppable killing machine) malatium - sees others past (dangerous to others no, one has secrets around you) Cadmium + Atium - teleport into the CR (dangerous to you because it is a one way trip) Bendalloy + Atium - teleportation ( dangerous to you because you could materialize inside a bolder) Zinc + Atium - reads thoughts ( dangerous to others, again no secrets) Brass + Atium - implant thoughts basically telepathy ( dangerous to others, invading someones mind) Copper + Atium - creates memories ( dangerous to others, invasion of the mind) Brone + Atium - wipes memories ( dangerous to others, invasion of the mind) That's all I've got right now.
  24. Yes that has always bugged me. With the bronze thing if tin does enhance seeking (which i believe it should) then what will it look like. Brandon has made it clear that piercing copper clouds takes a ridicules amount of power so tin enhanced bronze probably won't do that. What it will do is probably extend range as well as allow you to hear quieter pulses. Maybe very quiet pulses like feruchemy.

    Atium Alloys

So we know that Atium can be alloyed with any of the 16 basic allomantic metals. IIRC Brandon has said that these will give you various temporal powers. We know that pure Atium will give you future sight for other people. We know that malatium will allow you to view someone else's past (shadow). what do you think the other alloys of Atium do. My theory is since Cadmium and Bendalloy shift space and time around you then its Atium alloy should shift you through space and time namely teleport you, either into the cognative realm or through the spiritual realm.
