  1. That is not exactly the case.
  2. Yeah, he doesn't need to be a Jerkistan.
  3. What happens if Shallan draws Kaladin? Well, depends if she has enough white mana to play him or not.
  4. Well, I have good news and bad news. Actually, you'll probably think it's probably mostly bad news. Bad news is, Shadows of Self, the sequel to Alloy of Law, is coming out in about a year or so. Worse news is, next Mistborn Trilogy won't be out until after Stormlight Five.
  5. Also, his ability to judge his own mental state is impaired - he always feels the same except on *really* bad days. Zinc Feruchemy gives you bullet time, and it would be pretty easy to notice everything moving in slow motion on a 'good' day. Incidentally, it's a myth that time slows down when you're afraid - you just record memories faster, so when you replay you've got more stuff to recall. The experiment that established that is super cool, though.
  6. If he's just slower on bad days, no reason he can't make important decisions - he'd just have to spend a lot more time deliberating on them
  7. "Were Cultivation and Honor romantically involved?" Quote
  8. We've seen sazed tapping zinc. He does it in his fight with Marsh.
  9. I don't see any reason why it'd be any different than metalminds in terms of how separate reserves are treated. Particularly since Sazed mentions that the 'phantom reserve' feels exactly the same for a feruchemist as when Vin tries to burn. Duralumin doesn't do anything beyond ultra-flaring the burn you've already got going. If they aren't burning their eyespikes when they burn (or flare) steel normally, they won't burn their eyespikes when they duralumin burn.
  10. Duralumin only works on things you're actively burning. Vin extinguishes her tin before using duralumin so that she doesn't flare it.
  11. Well, aside from that, we know that planets (plural) had people before the shattering as well, and we know that Ruin and Preservation showed up at a pre-existant planet. I'm not sure where you're going with this... I mean, they obviously weren't shardworlds before the shards showed up.
  12. Which planets are you asking about? We know that Yolen, at least, existed - there's a book set on it pre-shattering, which obviously implies it was already around.
  13. I already posted part of the Old Chapps segment.
  14. Not focused per se, but it'd be a plot element. I personally find the 'Returned babymill' theory somewhat plausible. Incidentally, there's a 'threshold' for sliverhood. I have to wonder if it's the same as the amount sufficient to be a splinter. Nightblood is about a thousand Breaths, and by the only scale we have to measure a Divine Breath is two thousand, so it's the same neighborhood. I'm not sure if handing the power over to Nightblood counts as 'giving it up' or not.
  15. You see, I can avoid bias entirely on this subject, by just posting a quote and leaving.
  16. Well, they're like... crab people. I bet they lay eggs or something.
  17. I'm pretty sure the sheath is part of Nightblood I've posted on this before - I think it's fairly plausible that Hoid has a Nightblood-type-blade (which I'm going to call a 'nightblade' until it catches on), though not Nightblood himself. Then again, could just be a shardblade. I think it's been mentioned too often to be pointless. Here's a look at Nightblood from an unaugmented (though far from normal) dude. Of course, shardblades are silver-colored as well, so being silver isn't really evidence either way. But here are a couple more quotes from The Way of Kings. Incidentally, there's a HECK of a lot of 'silvery' stuff in The Way of Kings. I have to wonder about that, though it is a word Brandon is rather fond of.
  18. They do what they're told.
  19. Yeah but there's a difference - since it's not the brassmind heating up or cooling down, it's the feruchemist himself, it's the dude using the power who gets the protection. I mean you can still totally swallow some brass and go Human Torch, keeping the molten metalmind in your stomach. And yeah, feed a Lifeless to a Kandra and see what happens. Unfortunately I got RAFOed on my other questions along those lines (Blessings+Lifeless and Blessings+Parshman). Sticking a Divine Breath into a parshman would be pretty cool, I think. I've previously mentioned this in other threads, but at a signing Brandon apparently confirmed breath+mistwraith could make something awesome. Also, this is only /barely/ an exploit, but since you can split up hemalurgic spikes (at the cost of some of their charge), and feruchemical spikes allow people to tap metalminds from the original dude, you can totally split up a feruchemy spike and share metalminds between two people. I think the possibilities for that (particularly with metals like copper and aluminum) are quite interesting. Going a little further, I think that means you might be able to use a double-pointed spike and connect two people together by impaling them in the same spot. Or something even bigger - I'm picturing some sort of giant thorny tree made of brass and copper, where you grab a cable, pierce your ear, and upload and download memories between the other people linked to it.
  20. Nobody in-universe cares about parshmen genders, and they aren't obviously evident - nobody noticed the male/female pairs parshendi fought in until years later.
  21. I think it's that while you can mate without mating form, just like how you can fight without fighting form and work while in nimbleform.
  22. Unless this is one of those cases where taking a photograph steals your soul.
  23. I suspect if Shai went to Elantris she'd say the entire city was a giant soulstamp.
