Unfortunately it's hard not to chalk it all up to Harmony's influence. The letter to Spook indicated that the four remaining metals were meant to be found. It's plausible to say the planet was edited to accomodate that fact.

Because, from what I can see, the mindless pieces are either incapable of traveling to meet up, or require a physical aspect to bind them together. Once all the shards reunited, they would combine their cognitives and aspects, probably shattering the mind of the holder, or maybe just sidelining them. I imagine Adonalsium was a powerful being, quite capable of orchestrating a return like that. Or perhaps the pieces are simply reacting to something else. Perhaps the human form, considering Adonalsium created something resembling humans? I just like this theory since it means Adonalsium was never human, removing the need for an endless godchain.

+1 for Kingkiller! I love to think of the reaction of people when they see the "NO SYMPATHY" signs...

Nothing. The only evidence we have is the large amounts of metals present on the market, but that means nothing. There's just more demand, and therefore more supply. Luthadel was set on top of a massive deposite, so it makes sense there'd be a ton of the stuff.

16, if you alloy Atium with Lerasium, which I have no clue what it will do. Maybe make the EPIC GOD METAL (Credit to Shiver)? Also, I meant that some rumor got around that there was one piece of Lerasium still around somewhere, which may or may not be a way to refresh the allomantic line. I'm fairly sure Harmony would keep allomancy going anyways. For either old time's sake or to combat the inevitable hemalurgist armies. We're gonna have a Salem witch hunt with hemalurgists.

I can totally understand that, it gets at me too. Unfortunately I have a devil of a time coming up with names. Those two alone cost me five minutes of head-bashing. Anything fantasy-knight-ish that you can come up with? EDIT: Changed it to Khorik

"I'm a monster..." Korival whispered, staring at the walls of the blood-spattered chamber. The Oathslave to his left snorted, his smooth metalic features clicking together to create the sound. "Kor, in case you haven't noticed, we're all monsters now." Korival shook his head, the bits of metal that made up his face rubbing against the soft cloth of his hood. "You know what I mean Khorik. At least I fought before. It didn't stop me from killing Mother and Father, didn't stop me from bathing in the blood of innocents, didn't......didn't stop me from killing Dahra. But at least I fought back then! Nowadays I barely even struggle, hardly caring about the worth of the lives I end!" "Yes, we're all monsters on the outside, but slowly I've become on within as well..." And here's this one. Still a work in progress, but I kind of like the idea I'm creating to go with it.

They'd see the shadow shoot through them, or at least the enhanced senses would. So....would Cadium slow the shadow down? If somebody was pretending to be unconcious, and unconsciously burning Atium/Electrum, then would an Atium burner be able to see that they were awake? If they really were incapacitated in any way, they wouldn't have any Atium cloud, since they only have one option: Stay asleep. In that one case, creating an Atium cloud would be a bad idea.

Point. But regardless of how rare, it still leaves things open to abuse, especially once we get to space travel.
-
Short answer: If it's waves, they'd cancel from time to time. If that were so, somebody would definately notice, probably a mistborn or seeker. That doesn't work. However, I'm revising my previous statement. Copperclouds probably do stack, considering they can be empowered hemalurgically and with flaring.

I noticed that too. Of course, it's possible he's hiding the gender of his character for some reason anyways.

Doesn't bother me much?

At first it seemed that we had seen all the metals, and hence the next trilogy would have no real discovery. Then I realized we had 16 more Atium alloys to screw with somehow. And then somewhere somebody mentioned a stray chunk of Lerasium sitting around, which fixes the probelem of Allomacy dying out within 2000 years.

It's practically the only place in all the Cosmere that's like the real world, excluding AoL. Ima laugh when Shinovar is the Tranquiline Halls.

Aright, so I had a completely wacky theory. Hope this doesn't sound too badly thought out. From what we've seen, shards seem to have a mind of sorts on their own, or at the very least an intent present in their cognitive aspect that acts as one. We know each shard has a weak, but present cognitive piece. What if, when all 16 pieces were together, those little cognitive pieces formed a mind? Specifically, the mind of Adonalsium. This would mean that rather than it being a shardholder, Adonalsium was the shard, its mind totally melded with it, to the point that when it shattered, its mind fragmented with the intents, possibly manipulating the current shards behind the scenes. Thoughts?

The story is actually about Time Stopping, and the next paragraph goe sinto that. I'll make a few tweaks to throw in some extra stoofs. Seriously redoing the second, thanks for the help. Nice one of your own, BTW.

Again, I prefer the theory of copperclouds and time bubbles being related, the difference being that one can move and one can't, and copperclouds lock most of your POC thumps inside your body, safe from detection.

I always thought she was one of the Heralds. Her name escaped me, but I recall several topics proving the point quite convincingly.

Personally I think something's up with Shin. They're simply too unnaturally strange to have no place in this. I'm willing to bet they'll have a large role soon enough. What if they are the Voidbringers? They seem pretty harmless,but...well....we've learned that the world's impresions are rarely correct.
-
*Sigh* Brandon, your habit of making obscure details important is the source of all this lunacy in the forums. Please keep doing it Back on track, what if the whole system of Ardents was a cult of Voidbinding Odium servants? Probably massivley farfetched, but still, it's an idea.

He pulled it in right before he vaporized, unfortunately.

Interesting. So, you're saying we're backwards? The issue still feels to me that the beats can't be heard through the cloud, so not much changes.
-
I'm not saying the idea and spirit of the part was bad. No, I think you have a great point with the whole Siren thing. I just felt that it dragged a bit, and I've never really beena massive fan of the writing style used in that particular section. But still, don't mistake my slight dislike for anything more than that.

Series you were disappointed with...
Observer replied to ProfessorMLyon's topic in Entertainment Discussion
Honor Among Thieves. Couldn't stand it. It felt like every moment things started to drag, the author just dumped a whole load of unnecessary curses that went on for a few pages and hoped they'd fill the space well enough. Likewise, the storyline felt rather predictable. (Pleasedon'tflameme?) -
Oh, how I loved this series. The whole Ferulian thing dragged for me, and I wound up skimming, but I still loved the book. +1 for the amazing theories. As the Chronicler is told, something about music leave Kvothe deeply saddened. It could be the only way to open the chest, or maybe it could be one of the things he lost inside of it. Totally missed the whole Lackless Door thing. I swear, that name should have tipped me off instantly. I'm so stupid some times...
