  1. I still don't see how united worship will help, and how it will be anything good for the cosmere should it happen. Then again, if the shard remembers its history, the new holder might just turn the war on Odium into a 2 on 1.
  2. You see Vin fighting Shan just fine when being hailed on by arrows. I'd think bullets would be no different.
  3. Judging by Kelsier's reaction, nobody knew they could pierce clouds. Everyone thought it was something else that gave them away. Nobody had a reason to try it.
  4. You forget that Kaladin gets it too. Though that does go in sinc with the theory of Odium corrupting the shardthings.
  5. What Voidus said. In world occurences are fine, but in world opinions have consistently proved incorrect throughout the cosmere.
  6. Scary Since it just rips off your soul and staples it to another, I'd imagine it could give other systems, but it would require not only a different set of materials, but probably a whole new set of bind points and stab points. I'd imagine Ruin could intuitively know where to stick them regardless, but it makes it all that much harder to use for anybody who's not a shard.
  7. If people didn't know bronze could pierce a coppercloud, what makes you think they'd know stacking has an effect? Better yet, since they don't think bronze can get through, why would they find it necessary to stack them? On a side note, I'm fairly sure Clubs had 3+ other smokers in the shop to keep thing covered. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
  8. Since they get a set amount of warning and enhanced mind and reflexes, I'd imagine it wouldn't be hard.
  9. In a short 1v1, Feruchemist beats Allomancer easily. In an exteded fight however, or against multiple opponents, Feruchemy begins to suffer. It's good for quick, focused bursts. In a longer, more extended battle, Allomancy wins, as it has no real limitations to how long it keeps going. Add pewter to the mix, and I find that allomancers are built to fight for very long stretches of time. Unfortunately for us all, Hemalurgy is both abilities, and more. If, for any reason, you figured out where to stick the spikes, and then managed to kill even one person, you would gain the powers of a ferring or misting. Using those powers, you could kill another person, therefore doubling your power. If you played it safe, you could become rediculously powerful. Supposedly mental fortitude makes you insane, but in the event that you found a way to beat it, it could be used to counter bodily take-over if you had enough of it. All in all, I think Hemalurgy is the superior art if you're clever with it. Neglecting that, in short fights, Feruchemy wins. In long fights, Allomancy takes the cake (Provided GLaDOS isn't nearby).
  10. What if VoidBringers are a distraction from the real threat, like the mists and the ash? While everybody's focusing on them, even going as far as to put Shallan and Jasnah right in the middle of the action, (Where Odium might want them) I think something nasty's gonna happen. Once Jasnah's gone, a few pushes from Szeth and a few others could easily topple the already unstable governments left weakened by the lack of any real presence there.
  11. In the scene where Jasnah soulcasts the four thieves in the alley, we get a quick hint that she's had a rough experience with their type. I expect well be getting some backstory some time soon in the SA. Also, as anybody noticed that the stark change between the Thrill and the Disgust that Dalinar has bears a striking resemblance to when Marsh is controlled by Ruin? A perspective like that could mean some scary things about the Alethi.
  12. Most likely. Would Hemalurgy still use metal as a focus on other worlds as well? Cause gemhearts, sadly, aren't metalic.
  13. Yo mama so ugly, even preservation wanted her gone!
  14. If it saves your skin, there is very little sentient creatures wouldn't do to stay alive.
  15. Wisdom? I have nothing of the sort. Wisdom would imply an excessive power of judgement, and therefore a clear conscionce. All I have is memory loss that attemps to pass as one. Hemalurgy can't steal the soul of anybody but a Scardrialian as far as I know.
  16. My thread pretty much states that Investure is Shardic power. Your body is invested, hence it can't be pushed easily. Same for shardblades. I imagine something lashed would be harder to allomantically effect, and the reverse (Them being unlashable) as well. (So Soulbearers would be Szeth's weakness) Simply put, I'm not limiting investure to being walking aluminum, I'm moving it up a step. I say it was the reason for Dahkor AonDor immunity, and Soulbearers would be able to do something similar. For all we know, it could be used to temporarily gain access to a magic system, though I'm less sur eon this one. All the same, I think Nicro ferrings have a ton mor epotential than mere walking aluminium.
  17. I think it's people uprating you, or a mark of staff authority, depending on your rank Worldsingers/Ardents/KR are admin ranks. Like Mod or Admin, but nerdier. I always assumed, especially judging from the news clipping, that the koloss just raped any woman they could find. The idea of anything intentional on the human side is simply unlikely and nasty.
  18. The fact that there are rogue Kandra is going to play in some time now.
  19. +1, you made me laugh.
  20. Namehere has a point. Two actually. Maybe he's a Kandra? /bad joke Not sure if I like the idea though, considering savents and flaring and all that.
  21. Not to slam you down, but I'm pretty sure this theroy makes more sense. Double tin would be the most dreaded of all food critics.
  22. Of all magics, Scadrial's is the only non-renewable. I can see them attacking and taking over other planets and then viciously running through their metal deposits in a quest for power.
  23. Really? I personally liked those ones best. I don't need new metals for it to be good, I just enjoy the discovery element. Not to mention Brandon's gonn ahave to adress those metal sometime.
  24. I was thinking of either a KR type Hell he has to get through each time he dies, or maybe that they actually can kill him. The idea of people taking advantage of magically binding oaths is what led to that opening I posted. In a world much like ours, where a guarantee really means nothing, a binding oath to protect was the kind of gesture people needed. Of course, when they find a loophole... Prologue expanded, not sure if I like the new additions.
