  1. I guess it comes down to this: Could you could detect somebody bashing your head from behind, perfectly outside your vision? If so, Atium isn't sight dependent (Inquisitors can use it, so I think that term may be incorrect), and seeing the bullet's shadow is no longer an issue.
  2. They're not pure ivesture I'd imagine. Like non-allomantic duralumin, a coppermind would have some investure, but it wouldn't be in a pure enough form to matter. Storing pure investure and dumping it back into yourself is how I believe one could achieve a similar effect to the Dahkor when they were immune to AonDor.
  3. Point. If you had unlimited luck, however, the odds f the feruchemist winning would be unfairly large. Personally, I prefer to think of it working off of Shardplate/blade speculations.
  4. This topic may just get moved, do to the cosmereish territory it's straying into.
  5. Crazy idea: We've always assumed compounding draws from the shard, but that probably isn't so. You don't see Preservation getting weaker under the weight of all the world's allomancers. So what if the planet powers it?
  6. Bolds mine. Now that I type it out, it sounds less and less natural than ever before.
  7. Slowing yourself as you fall off a cliff. (I always wondered if storing speed could do that)
  8. If neither ran out, it would be a duralumin vs absurd levels of feruchemy. Mistborn'd have to stay in the air most of the battle, and feruchemist would never die. (Luck is excluded, along with investure and identity, since we have no clue about the details of what they do.)
  9. The future. Ultimate crime stopper, ultimate future changer, ultimate frustration in the event the future turns out to be set in stone. No sight or no Hearing?
  10. The difference is that Ruin and Preservation weren't splintered. Dominion was. Jaddeth would have to wait quite a while to take up even a piece of the power. Though he may be just that - a piece of a power.
  11. It comes down to what you plan to be facing. Lots of people for long amounts of time, or one poor sucker in a quick deathmatch. Or a handfull of poor idiots in a deathmatch, I don't care. Point is, they both have ups and downs.
  12. Knowing where the bullet will hit isn't a problem, you'll see the shadow fly through you exactly where it'll land. Again, since it's a set amount of time, no matter how fast the bullet comes, you'll always have enough warning
  13. I've been imagining rich people getting hemalurgically spiked for this power for weeks!
  14. @2: I disagree. Hoid's been up to something in every book we've seen him in. He tried to talk to Vin in HoA, he gave Kelsier the info the Vin was...well....not doing what she was supposed to. What I mean to say is that just because he's not doing anything big while we see him doesn't mean he's not doing it secretly. You don't just worldhop back and fort for no reason.
  15. You may have a point there.
  16. They'll always have a good 1-2 seconds of warning, knowing exactly when it's fired and where it's poitning. I think that's all they need.
  17. Alright, we've ranted and raved about Sliders and how cool they are. But what about Pulsers? We've seen from AoL a few uses, such as Skipping a day, or Holding somebody in place for a while, but I think there have to be a few more hidden uses out there. So, let's brainstorm!
  18. Edited original post. We now have a list.
  19. You forget that the inquisitors aren't storing in metalminds, they'r eusing their spikes to hold a charge. They can't very well eat their spikes now can they? In the Mistborn world, Hemalurgy wins. In the real world, I think Feruchemy hold far more uses than either of them. I think I should make a list of useful IRL metals... Pewter: Useful. Pewter drag is great for school, work, anything. Yay. Tin: Only semi-useful. I can't find too many wonderful uses for it. Bronze: Truely useless if you're the only allomancer. Copper: See above Zinc: Great for getting that promotion or that girl. Go zinc! Brass: See above Iron: Not all that wonderful, though I suppose it's great for a security guard Steel: Not sure how many times flying is useful IRL. See above. Gold: IDK. Atium: Unless you brawl a lot, useless. Nicrosil: Worthless so long as bronze is Chromium: See above Alumin-No. Duralumin: Only a little useful Cadium: I can't see many situations where this is useful. Bendalloy: By far one of the most useful metals for IRL use. Pewter: Not too useful unless you're killing somebody Tin: Food critic powers! Oh..ya....besides that not wonderful Bronze: Only really useful for cramming a test or keeping awake while that one guy lectures Copper: Perfect. IRL, memory = success. You'd be an instant winner. Zinc: Speed of thought is never a bad thing. Spend a day as a vegetable and come back as a Genius. Brass: If I remembered what this did I'd post. Iron: Unless you want to pretend you weigh 100 pounds, not much use here. Steel: Great for races I suppose. Or getting the paper finishe din 10 seconds. Gold: Feign sickness perfectly. Never worry about plane crashes aagin. Yay. Atium: Live twice as long. Not too bad, but not wonderful either. Nicrosil: We don't know anything about this yet Chromium: Fortune used right is instant win. Gogo! Alumi-Still no. Duralumin: Be ignored or adored at will? Count me in. Cadium: Good for swimming, but little else. Bendalloy: Who doesn't love binge-eating?
  20. Everstorn, Voidbringers, what's there besides that? I wholy expect another line like this that is a dead giveaway to something greater. For the sake of spoilers, I won't say where from. Any full-cosmere readers know what I mean.
  21. I assume that, if anything, the piece of darky rock Szeth was given would be Odium's investment, used for Voidbinding and such.
  22. Knight has a positive connotation. Fighting a knight carries a negative connotation, casting a darker light on the character, unhindered by logic and a tad dangerous.
  23. I thought we were going with the theory thatmost of Odium's power comes from the fact that he's never invested himself in anything.
  24. Ah yes, the final desolation, the everstorm. Almost forgot about that, which, I suppose, is the idea.
  25. So Stormlight is of Odium? Unlikely.
