  1. I'll add Name of the Wind and Wise Man's Fear to the list. Good stuff, though I feel the need to point out that Kvothe as a person hasn't changed a ton. He has new memories, new abilities, and new surroundings, but it's still the same personality behind it. Looking at Kote though, it's quite likely we'll be seeing a dramatic change in the near future.
  2. Whipping the dead horse to say that with our new info we could probably also gather information of somebody's cognitive aspect using time bubbles, which is cool.
  3. Yeaaah! Alien!! Ahem. So, any further response to my name theory?
  4. I've always prefered the tripple shard storm theory. Storms give crem and water for life, (Cultivation), Stormlight for Honor's magic (Honor), and they destroy a lot of stuff (Odium). If Odium pulled out, we'd probably get milder rains that just gave Stormlight and crem. Thinking of this, I wonder what's up with the Weeping?
  5. The fourth one will have massive ramifications. CSorry Dalinar, but I can't wait to watch Szeth butcher you and your men. Whether he succeeds or fails is irrelevent, since either way we get to see exactly how well this vengance pact holds together and how united by it everyone really is.
  6. Or some preAdonalsmic cave drawings written in a High Imperial ketek.
  7. So....Adonalsium is now language based? We have the answer to the seventeenth shard's language compatability problems!
  8. I like this theory, a lot. Still, it makes me wonder along with the rest of you where Kelsier's physical aspect is. Probably not his body, so it's most likely somewhere else entirely. Maybe something metaphoircal even?
  9. Predictably, my name isn't even in the system. In a wordy sense, my name carries no meaning. Symbolicly, it holds quite a bit. If you ignored the "Shape my personality until it fits the name" sense, it could almost seem prophetic.
  10. In books they'll speak of characters who don't fit their names, something that almost never happens in real life. On some level I cannot describe, our names mold our personalities, until you can't possibly be imagined as being called something different. People who go by their middle names or nicknames don't seem to match their first names at all, but the one they go by instead. I've always wondered how I would be if I had been named differently.... So, when I have kids, the first thing I'll do is call them whatever they feel like being called that moment. They'll grow up with no real name and be themselves 100% And yes, I know the above is impossible, and no, I will not stop thinking about what that would do personality-wise. It's a fascinating subject anyways, no? I wonder if online usernames have a similar effect.
  11. I would like to announce that I have developed a tineye-like sense of taste through an arcane process involving scraping the salty side of a goldfish across my tongue. Needless to say, the hot meal I had the next day was not good for me. Enhanced taste works out great now though
  12. Observers are cool with being the best spies and all, But the zergling is unmatched in sheer awesomeness
  13. I lurked on the forums for a very long time, endlessly observing the comings and goings. When I joined, I decided I'd name myself Observer. Sorry, nothing more complicated than that.
  14. @mistcloaks Oooooooh yes! I always imagined them more brown, but YES!
  15. 'ti' 'sh' and all similar sounds are just their own letter in Alethi as far as I can tell, hence Shallash's name and many others. They are actually perfectly symetrical, with lower ranking lighteyes having mostly-ketek names for fear of blasphemy.
  16. I'm be a Pathist through and through, but #2 is an amazing reason you must agree.
  17. I've heard that theory before, but not quite as well put as that. Well done.
  18. He's also had his library card revoked 17 times according to Alcatraz.
  19. Note "Not all are as discerning as Honorspren" Maybe it was once/is possible to bond with any spren? Maybe the creation of the KR was in part to stop that kind of thing, so only honorable people could surgebind. It seems like a quick and, theoretically, good fix to the problem short-term.
  20. It sounds like our little Smedry got lost...
  21. I can't tell you the standard form of a quadratic equation(I actually can, but for the sake of example), but I can recite all the allomantic metals, their uses and their type without thinking. I'll draw a blank for how you determine what key has which sharps, but I'll gladly tell you the many ironies of Frozen Synapse and the Ouroborus. It kind of sucks actually.
  22. Personally all I know about Homestuck comes from the Frozen Synapes fiasco. Good to see the fanbase has good taste in music at least.
  23. OOoooh yes! Just yes! I guess that explains the bacon mailed to my house every day.... Let's party Tactics. Bring your 'superious hairstylists' while you're at it, as I've yet to figure out how a Shapeform uses a hairstylist in the first place...
  24. Since Odium isn't native to Roshar, I always assumed he went and kicked Honor's rear over on anothe rworld, forcing humans off of it and onto Roshar, and then came over to finish the job. Interesting thing to note: Brandon made sure for Kaladin to reference how we always glorify that which we used to have. What if the Tranquline Halls have beeen overstated?
